The problems tend to be that the simple things go unchecked for long periods of time. An example - is the outdoor lighting ie. light posts and lights connected to the outside of building and the covered parking ....will go out and months go by before the bulb(s) are replaced. I have even suggested an idea that I think would be simple and effective. Have the so-called security that are supposedly driving through the grounds each evening record on a check-list each lightpost or covered parking light that is out and submit it to maintenance the next day. That way maintenance knows how many bulbs they need and their locations already. A well lit area will help reduce or even eliminate car break-ins etc. It's brilliant in it's simplicity.....but if it's not done - problems arise.
