Campus Lodge seems to receive lots of complaints and I will say that I have complained quite a bit about the place, but realistically you get a good deal for what you pay. The main problem is upper management, they've charged me for having a "quiet room" there was nothing special, then the room is 3"x3" larger and cost me extra and finally we are all equal. My roommate was military and they tried telling him he had to pay off his rent before moving even with his orders, apparently their law book had excluded the paragraph allowing military to end a contract.. The furniture isn't the best, but you pay a lot less on rent. Now the gates are always broken and the basketball lights seem to always be broken. Safety hasn't been a problem even with this being not the best part of town.
The maintenance people are friendly and pretty quick on responding. Now sometimes it does sound like a hippo lives above us as they stomp around, but the sound, minus parties, isn't awful. Overall Campus Lodge was decent for three years and if you are looking to save some money I highly recommend it.
