The new manager is working very hard day in and day out for this place, since she has took over i see she cares! Things are getting done on time, she has cleaned this place up...she does not give up and we love they found someone who cares. I have had several people tell me they see a different community There are 3 maintenance guys and one of them is supervisor and the 2 that work under him actually work day in and day out, the supervisor of maintenance is a piece of ----. I hope he is gone soon!! I see him out yelling and argument with tenants and just is always in his house or upstairs in clubhouses playing loud msic. We love what the manager is doing and what she can control she has had to putup wth alot to get it to where it is today and I am hoping we do not ever lose her. You can ask anyone out here how much she does for us as tenants.

This place had been ran down by tenants, went through several managers but they have finally found someone that cant handle what it takes to run a apartment complex. She shows she cares about the place, she has cleaned the bad out and is bringing in better. I could not tell you but one time in the last 3 month's since she has been here, cops have came one time and she called them. She is about to have the buildings re done and painted. She started the parking lot, she has got maintenance under control people get stuff done the day of when it happens. She cares about our community

COUNTY VILLAGE HAS BEEN KNOW TO HAVE MANY DIFFERENT OWNERS. THE CITY OF NORMAN SHOULD HAVE CONDIMED THIS PROPERTY YEARS AGO. ALSO THE CITY FINED PREVIOUS OWNERS FOR INSTALLING HOT WATER TANKS WITHOUT PERMITS. IF THE HOMEOWNERS AROUND THAT PROPERTY WOULD STAND FOR SOMETHING MAYBE SOMETHING COULD BE DONE TO HELP SOME OF NORMAN OK POOREST RESIDENTS THAT HAPPEN TO LIVE THEIR. THAT PROPERTY IS COMPLETELY CONSUMED WITH SECTION 8 TENANTS. THEY KICK THEM OUT AND A YEAR OR TWO GO BY AND THEY WILL MOVE THAT PERSON RIGHT BACK IN. I USE TO LIVE THERE AND WOULD NEVER CONSIDER MOVING BACK THERE EVER. THE PROPERTY IS FILTHY LITTERED WITH TRASH, THE COMMERCIAL TRASH CANS ARE LOCATED TO CLOSE TO THE UNITS THIS SPEAKS DIRECTLY TO COMMERCIAL GRADE COCKROACHES. LET ME ALSO TALK ABOUT THE SWIMMING POOL, ANYTIME THERE IS A OVERWHELMING SMELL OF CLORINE IN A POOL IT USUALLY MEAN SOMETHING IS BEING MASKED, SO DO NOT BE FOOLED. SIMPLY CONTACT YOUR LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT THEY WILL COME OUT AND INSPECT THE POOL AND IF IT IS NOT BEING PROPERLY MAINTAINED THEY WILL SHUT IT DOWN UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS… See More>

Loved this place for 2 years, but there was a change in management at the start of the year, as well as a change in the type of tennants that live here - - no longer a place we want to live! The end of our lease can't get here fast enough!! We have had multiple incidents of no hot water - - the most recent lasting 10 days! Yes, 10 days w/o hot water. My car was also broken into, but that's not surprising as there are recently released county jail residents loitering around the grounds all the time. There are drug deals on this street, and the cops, fire trucks, and paramedics visit regularly. The washers and dryers will steal your money, and then fail to dry your clothes. Parking used to be fine, but now it is very crowded and people have to park on the street and curb every day. There are also Busted old junker cars taking up parking spots, but management doesn't care. The place used to be neat and tidy, but we are now that complex with busted old furniture in/next to the dumpster on a regular basis. Insulation is horrible. Snow came in… See More>

Love the apartment & location, but area is a problem

Former manager seemed to be nice, but you never knew if you could really believe or trust her. New manager... You never know. Sometimes she's nice, but she's usually a bit bristly! The good: Decent sized kitchen with lots of real wood cabinetry & a nice large pantry. An adequate dining room & living room. Nice sized bathroom & the bedroom & closet are very nice. There's even a nice patio off of the living room. Big trees, lots of birds & some squirrels. Easy access to I-35 & lots of shopping within walking distance. Some traffic noise, but not too bad. Down side to these apartments is that the siding on the outside is deteriorating pretty badly. From time to time they try to keep the lawn care up. There's only 2 guys here taking care of this entire complex & it's a very large area with lots of apartments. The windows & patio doors are very old, so there's a lot of air leakage. I've had to put plastic sheeting up to keep my electric bills reasonable. Pet deposit is outrageous, but I can understand why due to the fact that a lot of the pet owners around here aren't very good… See More>

                Move on

If you just got out of prison, Griffin, or like to watch the cops/EMSA/fire in real life instead of on television then you should definitely move here. If your A/C goes out, you might get it fixed by Winter. The landlord always has excuses, the maintenance work is substandard. Car not broken into, but considering the tenants, they are either too high and/or stupid to be able to break into a car. Also, if you use drugs, you should be able to score some drugs pretty easy, but you should watch out for the cops. Landlord picks and choses how to apply HER rules (some are made up as she goes along). The bottom line: if you have crappy credit/bad rental history and can handle yourself you should move in (which will be no probelm since landlord lets anyone in).

                  Awesome place

I have lived here for almost 3 years and have not had trouble. I live in a 1 bedroom flat. I feel as though my apartment manager, Mrs. B., is not only the manager but a friend. I have never had trouble with bugs, I've only had 2 maintenance issues which were taken care of the next day, and my neighbors are friendly. There is lots of room in the kitchen. Mine has 9 drawers, about 10 cabinets, and a food panty that takes up a whole section of wall with 4 shelves total in them. These pictures I have provided are ones that I took when I first moved in so that I could email them to my family and friends. I also enjoy my walk-in closet full of shelves and plenty of room to hang my clothes. My bedroom is HUGE and serves more as my living room and my ACTUAL living room is my work are. Both are very sufficient in size. If you're looking for easy, friendly, clean, well-kept, and pretty - this is the place to move.

                    change for the worse

I moved in march of 2006 and was very impressed. I was impressed with the office staff, my apartment was nice and ready to go when it was time for me to move in, and when I had a maintenance issue(hardly ever) it would be fixed the next day if not the same day i told the office. I can't say that now.... When the name changed from Aspen Village to Country Village it all went down hill. The NEW lady in the office is not nearly as friendly or concerned when there is a problem. The maintenance fixes things when he feels like it. Needless to say, I'm moving at the end of the month. What a dramatic difference. The new owners must not care because this place has gone way downhill!!

                      DO NOT MOVE HERE

This place needs a match and some lighter fluid. The office staff told me they do not put up with loud noises, drugs or any other things that would make the complex unsafe. That is a bunch of BULL. If you need to get some drugs, knock on anyones door. Be aware of the colors you wear because there are gang members that live there. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT let maintence in your place unless you are home. I have had things taken and when I talked to the staff about it, that told me no, our guys would not do that....the guy who's Uncle owns the complex....he has been arrested for stolen property...They did have a couple of good people working there but they left because they did not like what was going on.

                        YUCK

They changed the name to Country Villiage. They have put in some new carpet and some of the palces have tile. The office staff needs to be replaced. Apparently, they have a soft spot for druggies and trail trash. I am very happy not to be in the section where it seems all the kids live. The parking lot is poorly lit and I don't like to go out after night fall. The police and or fire are here on a weekly bases and it seems that the low lifes come out at night. Everyone here yells at each other and most of it is a potty mouth. This could be a good complex if they got rid of all the trashy people.

I lived here in 2004. I hear they've been remodeled, but I'll give my opinion anyway. Our Air conditioning did not work the 1st month I moved in. IN JULY! The management was very nice, but I think they were feeding me a BS story about it. Other than that, everything was acceptable. There were a few creepy crawlies, but you get that in older apartments & trashy neighbors.

It's alright, but do your homework

Ok, so I've lived here a few years now. Here are the positives that I see...#1-New management that really tries hard to be helpful and timely. #2-Apartment wide events to help promote community. #3-New maintenance guy who actually fixes things in a timely manner (most of the time). The negatives....#1-The apartments are overpriced. I'm paying $475 for a 1 bd. #2-The apartments are older so expect alot of maintenace issues. I have had numerous problems with heat/AC, drainage issues, oven problems, insects (especially ants), etc. #3-Older appliances. I guess they work ok but they are REALLY retro. #4-This property used to be quiet (which is what attracted me) but it has begun to get rowdy over the years. Expect a cop or ambulance to make an appearance at least once a week. Also, there is alot of domestic issues (at least in my section) that results in alot of yelling and cursing through the night. Late night parties are at an all time high as well (guess that could be a or a -). Just do your homework before signing a lease.

I have been here for two years and have seen a bunch of changes. The new management has made a difference in the maintenance. The grounds are always clean and kept up. I just signed a new lease and have decided to stay another year.

It's good place to live if you have the money. I've seen a lot of 2 bedrooms for cheaper then what I pay for a 1 bedroom. It was pretty nice to live there, very quite but I had problems with my sink backing up the first 8 months that I lived there. It was eventually fixed but other then that I haven't had any problems and they allow pets (I have 3 cats) and it's hard to find a place that will let you do that

I guess I'll be the first to write about Hunter's Pointe. I have been here for 2 years. Since I've been here, the management has been through some changes. The new manager is the nicest-most professional manager. Any problems I've had since she's been there have been taken care of. I renewed my lease, because the apartment is really big, and the prices are really good.<br>They offer referrel bonuses to residents - so if you go to Hunter's Pointe, tell them that Sarah E referred you!
