By all means I will answer any questions about this place. I have everything documented from th elease to what they did and recorded all phone calls so I have the office manager on tape saying they would refund my deposit. I have nothing to hide, my review is 110% honest and valid! Horrible customer service. They will scam you. Needed to break my lease so I paid a 1 month rent as a penalty. Honored the 60 day notice so in with the penalty had to pay for 3 months basically. Was told that was the only cost associated with breaking my lease. So after 90 days goes by I ask for my deposits back and they said no I broke my lease. I then got verbal approval from ------ the office manager for the refund, this was before X-mas 2012. Middle of Jan 2013 and no deposit so I call, they said I should have gotten it so let them check into it. 2 days later I call back and they said it was not sent out as corporate did not agree. I responded that your employee who is your office manager represents the company verbally said they woul dgive my deposit back. Well low and behold I have gotten nothing back. I am 100% disabled veteran and was counting on getting this back. I paid a 1k penalty by paying a 1 month penalty and then they keep my deposits when I move out. This is criminal on their part, small claims court is next. If you want to avoid scrupolous people look elsewhere. You are told one thing and the company does something else. The real kicker here is th elease does not even mention a 1 month penalty at all, the lease is written totally different. I did what they asked to leave on good terms. Had I known that this is the way I would have been treated I would just have moved out but I did the right thing and Sonoma Grande screwed me in the end. Wish me luck in small claims. When I moved in there was a square of carpet cut out of the dining room, I called to have it repaired, they cut a piece of carpet that was not even cut to size and gluued it down and it looked horrible. I also paid extra to get a garage and 3 nights in a row my garage was open next morning so someone else had a remote to my garage, nothing was done so I stopped using my garage at that point and cancelled the garage. If you are a Veteran BEWARE, they knew my situation and this is how I was treated. Take nothing at face value here, if you decide to stay here get everything and I mean everything in writing as you go. Verbal agreements mean nothing to this management staff. I volunteer at Disabled American Veterans and when anyone calls for apartment advice I go out of my way to advise them to stay clear of this place. Sound noise by your neighbors is an issue as the walls are very thin and it feels like you are in your neighbors apartment when everyone is home at the same time. I was on the top (3rd) floor so I can only imagine the lower floors. Another issue I have with their honesty is I specifically asked the property manager when I was doing my lease if property crime was an issue. She said no its a gated community. Low and behold after moving in and talking with neighbors they said that thefts from vehicles was a big issue. I was aware of 2 car breakins in my short stay there. My car was not messed with people in buildings next to mine were. So appearantly this complex had an ongoing issue before I moved in but I was bald faced lied too by the property manager.
