When I lived here the vast majority of residents were senior ladies who loved to socialize and have big dinners and little parties. It is a good place for people who don't like to be alone and are dependent on others. However, the lack of privacy and the expectations of the other ladies are a nightmare, MUCH too stressful, for those with social phobia/anxiety or more severe issues, such as paranoia. The ladies WILL gossip about you behind your back. This place is like a cross between a college dorm and nursing home. All doors (entrances to apartments) are on the inside. And, when I was there some people continued to smoke inside their apartments after it was no longer allowed. The smoke drifted into the hallway and under my door. Millwood Manor seems ideal for people, especially older women, who crave attention and companionship; and it can be tolerated by private people who truly do not care what anyone thinks about them. The senior ladies should keep in mind the fact that those apartments are not just for seniors, but are also for people of all ages with various disabilities, including mental.
