If you are unlucky, they will keep your entire deposit AND send you a check for additional cleaning and "maintenance" fees. My husband and I lived at these apartments for about 4 months while we were house hunting in Bend. Because we knew it was temporary, we did not hang a single picture on the wall or alter the place in any way. Because a nice person in the office told us that we would be charged a cleaning fee whether we cleaned the place or not when we moved out, we opted not to clean (why waste our time?) and expected the 120.00 cleaning charge. We did not expect the additional 200.00 for carpet cleaning, paint, "labor" and the changing of the drip pans. By the way, on their cleaning sheet is says "Please do not change the drip pans yourself." This is meant to be interpreted as "you will be charged when we change the drip pans." This was the shortest amount of time we've ever lived in a place. It is also the only time in our history as renters that we did not get our entire deposit back! It makes zero sense. I would not recommend living here. And if you do, just be prepared to be out upwards of $300 when you leave.
