Living at Oak Park while going to college was nice because of the close proximity to Oregon State. However, it becomes very apparent after a few days there that mostly all the people living at the apartments are students. If you require any quiet time to study, you will not find it here. Some nights up until 3am loud music and voices kept us awake.
Parking is another issue. Come game day or a weekend, most often then not, there will be someone in your parking spot.
Another factor is the office staff. Word of advice, if you need anything down in a timely manner, you might as well contact the head office at Briar Ridge, where you will usually just be given the run around. The people that occupy the management office at Oak Park are simply there to keep the seat warm. The hours of operation are never consistant, and once you do track one down, they will not help, only prolong whatever actually needs to be taken care of.
As an alternative Park West is close to Oregon State, CHEAPER and very well kept. Plus, more parking. Also, no body was abducted at Park West. We never felt safe at Oak Park, always felt as though we had to run to our car in the dark, and look behind our shoulder.
Renter be ware.
