Resident 2022 - 2023

Steer Clear!

The management of these dated apartments is absolutely horrible and will hit you with crazy fees for every petty thing they can find. They will claim that the carpet needs to be replaced even after being professionally cleaned. They will even charge you inflated rates for light bulbs and to replace the air filter, a regular maintenance task. I honestly feel like this is a racket to take advantage of young college students trying to get a start in the world.

This place is a gem! Right in the middle of everything, accessible is an understatement. Buses are 5 minutes away, major entertainment is walking distance, right next to law enforcement and the library, and so much more! It may be a little expensive but it's worth every penny for how perfectly placed it is. The management team cares about everything and everyone and helps wherever possible. Never want to leave!

I have had a great experience here the landlord is very nice and extremely understanding. They are very willing to help with any issues that may arise and help fix them. I have enjoyed living here very much.

I love living here. The floor plan of the apartments is really open and wide, there’s also a lot of natural light. There’s a mix of new and old appliances that all work properly. The location is great. Stacy Terway is also very accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend living here if you are looking for somewhere in the Corvallis area, especially if you’re a student. The apartments are really close to campus, only a 5-10 minute walk.

The management is extremely rude, and the rent is way too high for yellow-running water, cockroaches, and halls that smell like weed and dog feces. Every time we communicated with the management, our concerns and clarification questions were dismissed with phrases like, “We already talked about this. Just read your lease”. We never felt welcome and were afraid to contact anyone about apartment issues, because the management charges for literally everything. They only care about money — not about the renters. We got almost none of our deposit/last-month’s rent back, even though we lived there for less than a year and there was very little damage. We gave the management over a months notice before we moved out due to COVID. We had to pay over $500 for professional cleaning and carpet service from specific companies (fairly certain the management gets a kickback). The management came in, looked the apartment over, and said that the apartment looked great. They did not tell us that anything needed to be fixed. We received our refund check a month later with over $1,500 in deductions; we could not dispute this, because we were already moved out, and it was a month later. A… See More>

I really wanted to like this place but Stacy Terway of Terway Investments is so inept at her job, rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. So many red flags that I can't even consider this location, she's been difficult and very confused in our conversations, I can only imagine how terrible it would be living at Park Plaza! No, never! Beware!

Although the amenities and location make Park Plaza seem like a great place, the management was unprofessional, rude, and unknowledgeable. After many email and phone correspondence, Stacy was still unaware of our move in day. When we showed up to sign the lease, she was a half an hour late, and didn't have any of our paperwork ready. She also never informed us of the amount of money that was required on move-in day. Another incident was with our garbage disposal. She attempted to charge us for someone to fix our garbage disposal, even though it says nowhere in the lease that she is able to do that. The lease says that you are to report when something is broken or malfunctioning, which is what we did. After she tried to increase our rent and we decided to move out, she asked if we would stay if she kept our rent the same price. Our experience with her was too negative to stay. Overall, we have only had negative experiences with Stacy and the other management.

I lived in Park Plaza for a year and think it was sort of a bittersweet experience. Pros : 1. It's clean. 2. it's safe and secure. 3. it's close to downtown and OSU 4. Although there are too many units in the complex, it is fairly quiet. 5. I got my full deposit back. Cons: 1. It's quite expensive. 2. They don't have free parking lots. 3. the units are not properly insulated. I lived on the top floor, and it was hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. So, either the A/C or the heater should be on all the time. The other thing is I'm not sure why but I think even the heater and the A/C in Park Plaza consume more energy than they should consume generally. Therefore, you should pay much higher electric bills. 4. The security deposit is higher than your rent. 5. I recommend not to choose the top floor units. All the A/C compressor units are located on the roof right above your unit, and during the summer, since they are always on, the loud humming and buzzing noises would drive you crazy. 6. you have to pay the last month rent in advance.

My husband and I lived here for one year, and other than the unbearable heat and stuffiness, we enjoyed our time. It was a nice apartment, safe, and ours had been recently updated. Overall, the apartment was fine. When we moved out it was an entirely different story. Before moving, my husband and I worked very hard for a week cleaning the apartment from floor to ceiling, doing everything on the list. Before we left I called the carpet cleaners to schedule a time to clean the apartment, but they said they preferred to work directly with Park Plaza, instead of the tenant. So I left it at that. I turned in the completed cleaning list and notified the staff that we had not made arrangements with the carpet cleaners, and she acknowledged this and we parted ways. We left feeling confident that we would receive the majority of the $400 deposit back. A few days later they called and said there were two things on the list we had the option to come back and clean, but we were very busy with school and thought two items wouldn't cost us that much to hire a janitor for. A month… See More>

I lived in this complex for three years from August 2009 until June 2012 in two different units. The building is very nice, and the apartments have been well kept up. If you take advantage of the cleaning list and work with the office staff, you can recover your entire deposit. I rented two different apartments, and got the full deposit back each time. I even accidentally damaged my refrigerator, which they had to replace, and I was not charged for the replacement. The office staff are friendly and were always helpful. The number of times I locked myself out probably bordered on annoying, but they were always willing to come unlock my door (during office hours). The other tenants are a nice mix of young and old, and the building itself is fairly quite. I lived on the second floor, and occasionally heard people above me, but it was a reasonable amount of noise to be expected in an apartment complex. The only downsides were that foot traffic along Monroe was somewhat noisy at night on the weekends, and on-street parking can be difficult to find during the workday. However, I felt… See More>

I just move from NY and took a VP position in OC and let me tell you. Being in marketing I know all about the negative and positive comments people can make. All i can say is this ... always be go with or where YOU ... seriously YOU feel is right...because at the end of the day its YOU that will be residing sleeping in your bed... not the people that were asked to move for etc. reasons... Me and dutch love it here and we been here for just over 5 months... it was nice to have found an apartment that took my dutchi!!!! Loving the DOG park!!! okay!! you guys want to know the bad.. WELL i have to say .. parking can be tough... so I dont have guest come over .. if you work like me 8-5 good luck.. but if you are not cheap like me .. rent an extra parking space like my HOT neighbor and youll never have issues... but be YOU be the judge... management only does what they are told.. dont beat on them for following the RULES>> I was in the office and overheard a resident bitching about parking she… See More>

                          Good for a student... I don't know

Lots of elderly folks here. Laundry room open 24 hours. Thankfully, never had to fight over the washing machines. People were pretty nice if you left your things in the washer or dryer for an extra hour.

Neighbors are pretty nice. Wouldn't recommend living on the first floor because you'll have a lot of drunks urinating on your porch every other night.

Lisa is really nice about fixing things and answering questions. Heather is nice, but Jenny (in the office) isn't very nice at all. For whatever reason she has trouble answering even the simplest questions. She quickly jumps to conclusions and quick to blame the tenant for whatever may be wrong with the apartment. Luckily, Lisa more than makes up for it by quickly fixing things and setting tenants' minds at ease.

When moving out, if you get anything back from the deposit, feel lucky. The cleaning requirements were unreasonable. They charge you $50 to get the blinds dry cleaned --which is ridiculous.

You are required to have renter's insurance.

The drunks are loud on Monroe on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and often Sundays. So are the bums that shift through the garbage every morning.

There is pre-arranged parking. One parking spot per apartment.

Close… See More>
