I lived in PW last year in a single, and the experience was decent. I have just moved into a double, and it is a much better deal. Location is great as a student at OSU, and most of the renters are students as well. Parties happen and it can be somewhat louder at times, but usually not a problem. They are usually on the weekends or Thursday nights so it's understandable as a student. I have no gripes with the management. Laundry place is fairly good, pool is nice (when it's not closed), but it seems like a decent amount of people who don't live in PW go there, which can be a good or bad thing. Parking lots are good, and are fairly well lit. Have not had or seen a break in to a vehicle, but someone did try and steal my bike last year from one of the racks. Rent is somewhat expensive but you do get water/garbage/cable, so you just need to pay power and internet, and it is only a few blocks from the south-east corner of campus, so it is expected.
The single: Decent sized, no problems with the apartment over the year of rent, but quite spendy. It was 525/mo w/ year lease, and it just went up for this year. Also, because all the singles are downstairs, you can hear the people upstairs whenever they are walking on any of the lenoleum areas with shoes on, or if they are heavy steppers. I got used to this, but my friends that came over would always notice.
The doubles: A way better deal than the single. This year it is 805/mo total w/ year lease, and you get two levels (the size of the 2 singles), and a balcony/deck on each level. The railing on my balcony is a little weak and I would not trust leaning up against it, and the decking is warped so I don't walk out there without my flip flops. Otherwise, highly recommended over the single.
