I had a corner, upstairs unit across from the "Salon" (which is the second Communal Center/pool) for 1 year ending in July 2005.

This is my personal experience.
Management was polite and responsive. I received back my deposits entirely (after an appropriate cleanup).

Noise was not an issue for me - which was a surprise since the complex has so many students. My daughter, a UO student said she could hear the downstairs neighbors often from her bedroom, but it was not a problem for her. I personally found the apartment pleasantly absent for the most part of sounds from neighbors, and in general surprisingly quiet.

Unassigned parking can be found at all times if you are willing to walk just a bit. I rarely found it to be a problem.

Condition of the apartment was only fair, so take your time and make a thorough list of existing items when moving in.

Rent value has to be weighed against the value of the location (near to UO). My daughter enjoyed the easy bus and bike access (bike access by the bike/pedestrian bridge near the stadium).

I often saw security patrol personal during the night.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Chase Village and moved because of work.
