Overall it was a good apartment place for college students studying at University of Oregon or Lane Community College. It is at a great location with walk-in distance to both schools. So if you miss the bus, you can still be there on time, no worries. In terms of neighborhood, it's close to convenient stores and restaurants around the university and the Broadway. There are some homeless people around. By the time my roommate and I lived there, we got approached by very few weird people but never got robbed. I would say so far it's quite safe. It's just annoying sometimes that you have to bear the loud noise coming from drunk people in the street yelling at 3:00 AM. It's near school so I guess it makes sense. Sounds travel inside the building, just something to keep in mind. You can clearly hear your neighbors yelling at each other, not every words though. The building has locked entrance and back doors which gave you some sort of security. And the building manager would remind you of not getting non-tenants into the building.
We had some mixed experience with the building manager, on the other hand. He was nice when we had those small talks on a daily basis. However, he could be intense when there were disagreements between you guys talking about problems in the building. He did fix problems quickly if there is nothing else pulling him away from his desk. You could tell he was always busy. Overall, I would recommend this place.
