Lived there for only about 6 months. Staff on site were great. Neighbors were for the most part pleasant. You choose your own level of socialising, and privacy is available. Best not to have a real valuable car or truck, as you may have to be overconcerned about it's safety, due to marauding from neighborhood scourges, but tenants are trustworthy enough, and do look out for each other to an extent. I was very fortunate in the person I shared a kitchen with. This could be a real problem if there is a bad mix. But the low price makes this situation worthwhile, if you work at it, and are lucky. I got the feeling that the OWNERS of the property were a soulless corporation, wringing out every penny and increasing rents as much as the market would bare, but, this is the world of realty, and they were no worse than the other players in that market. As I stated, it was only a six month stay, and I did not leave because the place is not a good value, but rather because I had other things in other places to go to. I look back fondly for the little time I spent there, and would advise anyone in the budget range to investigate it. (When my freezer stopped working, repairs were made before I even had food defrosted, the maintaince was so good!)
