Resident 2005 - 2006

7/27/2006

First the good:
The one-bedrooms are HUGE (850 or so sq.feet) with a washer/dryer in unit. If I hear my neighbors, it's through my open windows (not the floor or walls). Lots of closet/cabinet space. Right on the Tri-Met 32,33,34,79, and 99 lines. Pretty good about enforcing quiet after 10 pm. Rent is very reasonable for what you get.
Now the bad:
The younger lady at the office is cool, the others...well, they're nice enough when you're looking to lease, but after that don't expect much in the way of nicety. Rent checks take at least a week (sometimes more) to clear, and I never really got a straight answer about the use of the rent drop boxes (use at your own risk). My Third Floor apartment has a huge draft coming up the wet wall, making it impossible to keep warm in winter without going broke (the heaters aren't the most efficient in the world). Hotter then hell in the summer too (I'm not convinced there is any insulation in the attic).
Summary:
They're actually pretty good apartments, just don't expect anything beyond passable customer service (except for the younger lady-she's cool) after you've signed your lease.
