Resident 2011 - 2013

8/1/2013

I really loved this apartment complex when we first moved in. Quantum did a good job managing, the two managers we had were great. Someone was always in the office, maintenance requests were handled very quickly and easily and the price was fair for the apartments and services that were rendered. Unfortunately the complex was sold to some lady recently and Quantum no longer manages the buildings. Things have gone very downhill since this woman came into power. She is never in the office, even during the normal office hours 9.9 times out of 10 she is not there and nobody knows where she is. The previous landlords knew the people who lived here, every time I have tried to go into the office for something she treats me with suspicion like I am there to steal something. She never made any formal announcement of new ownership or management. We just went down to the office one day, all of the previous manager's stuff was gone and some new woman was there. As far as maintenance goes, things have fallen very low. We had a broken door in our apartment and they send the new maintenance guy who looked to be about 19 and had no clue what he was doing. He had to go get help to figure out how to get the door unjammed. The doorknob still only turns one way. Our bathtub became clogged. We filed a maintenance request a week ago and still have not gotten anybody out to fix the clog so we have 2 inches of standing water in our bath tub. My husband went down today to see why we have not had our request filled and she was not in the office again and the maintenance guy he did run into told him that she had them working on empty units instead of responding to maintenance requests. The whole complex received a notice about parking permits that was incredibly threatening and also was not written on any sort of letterhead and looked like her printer was running out of ink. Better not have anybody come visit you at any time or their car will be towed. Our rent is being upped $30, when this woman took ownership of the complex our water bill went up $10 a month and the amount of services given have gone way downhill. Almost every long term tenant is moving out and the complex is hemorrhaging tenants due to exorbitant rent increases and poor management. I would say renter beware.
