I have lived here for about ten months, and I have experienced many of the same things others mentioned.

1) Residents are extremely noisy and like to party. My downstairs neighbors were in the habit of STARTING their parties at 2-3 am when the bars closed. I had to complain about four times before anything changed.

2) Other neighbors smoke constantly, both regular cigarettes AND POT! I can't leave my windows open, even though it's hot and stuffy. The other night my 3-month-old baby was sleeping in my bed, and when I came back in the room, it was full of pot smoke! Of course the management says there is nothing they can do.

3) There is also the problem of the DAILY leaf blowers that come by. Not only do they sound like a chainsaw is in your bedroom, but they have come by as early as 7:30am, and the exhaust from the motor comes in through the window. Nothing like carbon monoxide, cigarette smoke, and marijuana coming in through the windows where your baby sleeps!

4) There have also been numerous domestic disputes, we're talking serious wife beating, screaming, etc, in more than one apartment. I have called the police more times in the 10 months I have lived here than an entire 8 years living on Division Street in SE Portland, a major road. This speaks volumes about the quality of the people this apartment complex allows to live here.

5) The management is really not responsive to your calls. Another thing I experienced was a two-day notice that they were repaving the entire complex, and I would not be allowed to park ANYWHERE near my apartment, despite the fact that I had PAID for my parking space. I had a newborn baby, and I had to cancel all my plans so I could make sure I had a parking place, then have someone drive me and the baby back to my apartment. They had no sympathy for this situation. I then had to hike back to my car with my baby when the paving was over. Fun!
