Resident 2015 - 2023

I was a Tenant for 8 years at this apartment complex. I just recently moved out and my lease wasn't up until October 31st. I had recently purchased a place mid August. I continued to pay rent until that time. I placed my 30 day notice earlier part of September in turned over the keys to the apartment towards the end of that month. I received a $1900. 00 early termination fee although I was willing to pay the last month of rent. I didn't feel it was the right thing for the office to do. I was only trying to allow them time to fix the place early in order to allow someone to move in because obviously I wasn't going to be there. I tried reaching the office by phone no person would answer. I was really disappointed on how that handled things in the end. I wouldn't recommend signing a lease at this place.

I found the current apartment manager to have poor manners. She shared too much information about previous tenants (legally, this is serious fair housing law issue. No information should be shared, including personal opinions of tenants). She also complained about my mother making too much noise at 11 PM while unpacking on her first evening in this complex. She was installing a shower curtain that they simply left sitting in the tub (why it wasn't pre-installed is beyond me). She is a senior citizen, so reaching up to install a very cheaply made shower curtain rod wasn't an easy task for her. She simply wanted to take a shower after moving in. It doesn't get much quieter than an older retired woman, but clearly the walls and ceiling are not properly insulated, and sound travels much further than it should. It was also incredibly difficult to finalize move in plans at this complex- I routinely had to call to ensure there would be a unit available. You'd think they would be eager to reach out, if they truly wanted to rent their units. The lack of communication struck me as very odd. The price is certainly right for this complex,… See More>

I lived at cedar 94 for three years and while living in the apartments two guys got robbed my I say the manger is very rude their is no chains on your door so the building manger comes as he pleases without you even knowing thats not safe to me !! and the apartment management sucks they will be in your personal space and make false information about you. One more thing the building has roaches and bed bugs I hated living at cedar94 I mean I payed 1000 dollars for a one bed room and to be treated like that is no professional my rent was $700. When I first moved in but then it went higher

I'm writing this review at 12:30 in the morning because I can't sleep due to the amount of noise coming from the unit above me. This is a nightly routine from my neighbors, they are young and with four adults and one small child living there, there is always activity going on. The construction of this apartments is so poorly done that you will be able to hear every step that your neighbors are taking. Currently there are two empty units next to me, I'm not looking forward to when these units are rented out. I think that the place is very nice looking but looks can be deceiving. I'm paying a good price to live in apartments that should rent for much less because of the poor quality in how the buildings are made. I cant wait to get out of here, it's going to be a long year! I want to add some additional thoughts, now that I've been able to get some sleep. If it wasn't for the noise level from the folks upstairs this apartment would be very nice. It's clean and comfortable and very thing works well. Management is good to work with and they show… See More>

I don't usually write apartment reviews, but this apartment was so great that I had to. After I moved in, I had a couple of minor problems in my apartment. After contacting the landlord, these problems were addressed IMMEDIATELY. No waiting. The staff is very friendly and understanding. The grounds are well kept and the environment is very peaceful and safe. The apartment itself was very comfortable with new carpet and floors and a nice spacious living room. You can hear your neighbors slightly through the walls, but that is just a part of apartment living. I could go on and on but really, I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

                Excellent in Every Way

I have lived here for over a year. The floor plan of my apartment is very convenient and the apartment itself is lovely with big windows to look out on the generous, beautifully landscaped grounds. The management is top-notch, have responded almost immediately to every concern I have had. When my washer overflowed I contacted the office and within 2 minutes the manager and maintenance person were working on mopping up the spill. The maintenance is pro-active--they regularly do things like power-washing the sidewalks, trimming bushes, and many other things. I can't imagine moving from here. Gwen Lyman

                  Perfecly Fine

I only lived in the appartment for a couple months, everyone in the complex seems to be fine I didn't interacte to much with anyone but the encouters I did have were nice. The management is nice and easy to work with. Nice little club house with a tredmill, oliptical, weight bench, cable, big screen T.V., etc... The reason I left was because of 2 hour comutes to and from school. The only complaint I have against the place is that they kick you out of the club house after 10:00 P.M.

                    Poor maintenance and parking

This is one of the worst places to live in. When you need something to be repaird they either never answer the phones or tell u they will be there later in the the day and never show up. I often wait 2 days minimum to get something fixed. Parking is a total mess. When i moved in the place smells really bad in some parts and the carpet had multiple stains. The lingering smell of dead cat was often present. Around midnight you can hear people yelling explicit stuff and moaning loudly. There was often a wood block in the rent fee box and you could never get your rent in without directly talking to them. Parking is a nightmare and i've had my car broken into 3 times and all my goods inside stolen. The landscape is good, that's about the only thing great about this place.

                      Nice place to live!

My husband and I have lived here for nearly a year and really enjoy it. The apartment is nice in size and was in great condition we moved in. There are really only two things that we don't like about this apartment. First off, We are on the bottom floor and the people above us have a noisy floor. Secondly, parking can be a little bit of a pain after 5:00. Those things don't give us reason to move. The staff is very friendly!!

                        Good overall

I've been here about 2 and a half years and have had a very comfortable experiance. It's a very quite and clean area, you'll hear traffic if you live in a unit close to River Road but it's no big deal. They have many trees to drown out the noise, but many of them are planted too shallow and fall down during wind storms.

In my time here I've only seen 1 set of disturbing neighboors..some college kids who I think were kicked out.

The managment is nice, and they respond to requests. The apartments are moderately new, not 'luxeroius', but they look better inside that the average apt.

They don't have any cool whistles and bells like a pool or Gym, but it's a good place if you like things mellow. My main gripe is that they have increased rent by 12% over the last year, which is a pretty big jump. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these apartments to someone who wants to live in the Keizer area.

                          very good experience overall

I am wondering if just very angry and bitter people are writing these reviews. Yes, the heating bills are high- my guess is because of the many windows (great lighting for an apartment) and perhaps poor weatherization. However, it is more than offfset by the very reasonable rates for rent. I have lived in the complex for more than two years. I have never had anyone break into my car and have never felt unsafe here. I have had one clogged drain, and needed my carpet deep cleaned due to stains from a previous tenant's dog. On both occasions, the issue was handled immediately (the same day that I put in the request) and with good results. Olga and her husband (who completes many of the maintenance tasks) are both friendly and helpful. I don't know many of my neighbors but the ones that I have met are pleasant and mature. I highly recommend this property and will probably stay here until I can buy my own place.

Management Incompetent and Maintenance Work Lousy

When doing a maintenance request at this apartment complex it is highly recommended that you are present at the time of maintenance because the maintenance people are questionable and the work is shoddy at best. Management has something to be desired such as respect for the tenants and being able to be attentive to issues that may arise between tenants. Management is too busy dealing with their own problems to deal with yours. Electric bills here seem awfully high also. When you need to contact management during standard business hours or emergencies they are not available. If you have a security situation it's better to call 911 or someone else because these managers will not respond. If you leave messages on there answering machine they won't return your call and if they do it may take a week or more. Don't sign a lease as well because you may think your saving money but with everything you have to put up with, it's not worth it in the long run. With out a lease if something comes up, if your fed up with things around here, your'll be stuck for several more months. People here are not pleasant. I've… See More>

                              nice place nice managers

The managers, first Julie and then Olga and Constantine are very nice and helpful. The area is a nice part of the Salem area and it is close to stores and the Courthouse AC. I had one noisy neighbor and it's hard to tell if the walls are too thin or she was just so loud. The worst thing for me was the proximity to River Road which is becoming a major highway with noisy trucks loudly struggling uphill all night and day. Also you have to provide your own air conditioner, but that's true everywhere in Oregon. I did have trouble with fleas from a previous cat owner when I first moved in, but the exterminator took care of that and I saw no evidence of other insects as claimed by other reviewers except for the ever present spiders outside. It's always the better apartments that wisely ban pets.

Best apartments we´ve ever lived in

We came from California where we were paying $1200 monthly for the smallest apartment you´d ever seen. Then we moved here...The landscape is beautiful, the apartments have plenty of space, wood trim around all the window seals & doors giving it a warm feeling, and we hardly ever hear our neighbors. Not to mention the management is so friendly we consider them friends. We´ve also made lasting friends with a few neighbors...overall, it´s a great place to live.

                                  Terrible Place to Live

Let´s do a rundown, shall we. First you have the beautiful landscape. Mind you the lawn is the only thing kept around here. And might I add isn´t just mowed over once or twice but three times within several days each week. Sometimes it is done after 5pm. The edging is done one day and there´s nothing like the lovely sound of the blade scraping against the side walk all day long to help ease your stress away. Ahh...the noise from the traffic is loud. If you don´t mind having your vehicle broken into, not once but twice or more then come on in and make yourself at home! Feel free to stop by management where they regularly place a wood block in the slot so you can´t drop your rent in. This way you get to deal directly with them not at your convenience but there´s. Isn´t that great? :) You can make repair requests over and over and over again but still to no resolve. You may also notice the shoddy workmanship if you´d like to come in and do a walk through. Ah you may wonder, any bug problems? Surely not in a "beautiful" place like this.… See More>

It is not what it seems

It is not a quiet place to live. They are very strict and disrespectful. The inside is cheaply built. Heating bills are rather high. There was cat hair all over our carpet when we steam cleaned it some time after moving in and loads of dirt. We don´t and have never had a cat. There were crayon marks all over walls and they never cleaned it off. We tried but it´s still there, among many other problems we were told would be taken care of. Repairs are not done properly and replacements, hope you don´t mind paying. It is a very strict place to live. I would not recommend moving in here especially if you have young children. You have no privacy.
