Took the place in a hurry because there wasn’t much available that I could afford at the time. Still crazy overpriced for the space. Was rushed though a bunch of units and accidentally ended up with one without a closet. I did enjoy the windows, which were large and original and shaded by the big tree out front. I had a corner unit as well, so there was a good cross breeze in the summer. Lived above the lobby fireplace as well, so the place stayed warm in the winter. Living here as a single woman felt very unsafe. I installed extra locks and slept with pepper spray mounted next to my bed. My neighbor would constantly scream racial slurs and violent sexual/sexist things in the middle of the night. He would also pound on our shared wall and sing loudly at 4:00 am when I think he got home from work. Once I came home and it looked like there was blood in the elevator. There was a tenant who would rant in the stairwell late night too. The trash room was lit on fire and melted, and someone tried to light the tree out front on fire as well. The regency double charged me on move in fees and then never refunded (it became such a hassle trying to get the money back that I eventually just gave up). Cockroaches everywhere ( I am very clean, this was definitely a building issue). The washers would get infested with fruit flies as well. A real butthole of an apartment, don’t live here if you can avoid it.
