Resident 2006 - 2007

3/19/2007

I enjoy living here. It is close to major freeways, and a lot of services are nearby, although this area of Portland is pretty bleak, unless you really like supermalls and retail. The apartments are well kept, clean, and in good shape. The apartment designs are really cool, but cupboard/storage space is pretty minimal, and kitchen and bathroom drawers are small and finicky. Fixtures are a bit weak too, small sinks and tubs. The storage issue can be solved by renting one of their numerous garages, which are a steal at 45-65 bucks a month depending on size. Full size garages! The place stays amazingly well insulated in the winter keeping heating bills low, but it is stifling hot in the summer. We needed to purchase a window AC unit. The staff are friendly enough but not always on the ball. More often than not, maintenance requests have to be made at least twice, and this is pretty much the norm, but they do get everything done on their time. They are very reasonable in the way they treat us. Overall, it is less than perfect, but I've lived in much worse. I recommend it as good value.
