Resident 1998 - 2000

6/3/2003

My husband, daughter (toddler at the time) and myself lived her for approx. 2 years. When we 1st moved in the grounds were beautiful, someone was always around doing maintience on the buildings and pruning, etc. Then we went through 3 managers (the last one is still there) and nothing ever got done. In the spring of ´99 we reported to the new management that we noticed mice tracks. No one came out or called. We put some traps out and that solved the problem. We thought! Late in September, when the rain started, we started seeing more mice. We called and completed a maitienence request - again no one came out or called. Finally we caught the manager and dragged him into the apartment to show him the mess. He finally called out an exterminator who was told to lay down decon. This decon was laid out w/in reach of my then 5 year old!!! I complained but nothing was done. Finally my husband and I had enough and started looking for another place. While we were moving out we found in our closets where the mice had ate through boxes of pictures, books, old clothes. The manager complained saying that it was clutter. Mind you these were new boxes with clean books, family pictures that had no food nearby. We also found were they were coming up throught he water heater pipes in the closet in my daughter´s bedroom. We found holes in the closet corners that the mice actually made that were 4"x4"!! I got mad and called Multnomah County Vector control. They told me that they do not usually go out but was intrigued by my call. When the came out they found access panels on ALL of the complexes that were torn off or had holes were the mice were getting in. The Vector controll inseptor issued a notice to the complex manager and Princeton that they needed to fix this problem or they would condemn the complex. The manager/management company got mad and charged US for the repairs. These were repairs to the out side of the complex that were left unattended were the mice chewed their was through to get out of the rain/weather! We filled a formal complaint w/housing bureau and video taped the entire inside of our apartment before turning our keys in plus Vector control gave us a copy of the investigation worksheet. The management still refused to believe and is still charging us and refuses to give our deposit back! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Find someplace else.
