If you consider yourself to be a patient person, then Woodside Vista is the place to put yourself to the test!
So let's lead with the good.
PROS:
-roomy apartments
-rent was very affordable when we first signed our lease
-all management staff have been understanding and very courteous
-there's a card reader in the laundry room if scrounging for quarters is a pain
-decent community
CONS:
-the units themselves are aging and were quite clearly not in danger of winning any awards for quality when they were new. This is consummate low-income housing.
-apartments are outwardly disgusting. The shared entryways often feature peeling paint and sagging ceilings, while many window screens are in tatters.
-apartments are rarely maintained, if ever. Several fixtures were in a state of disrepair when we had first moved in, and several more have failed in our time here. None have been repaired.
-as previously mentioned, management has changed hands at least three times since we moved in. It seems that record-keeping is nonexistent or simply not transferred between managers.
-rent and utility payments have been slowly climbing for no discernible reason. I would be fine with paying more if I saw any tangible benefit, but at the moment I have seen no improvement in any area whatsoever.
TL;DR: this complex and its sister complex are not worth your time. I am currently a resident, but with any luck that will soon not be true. Save yourself a lot of stress and find someplace competently managed.
