Resident • 2005 - 2015
After living on site more than 10 years I was served with a No Cause Termination which is just what it sounds. During the past few years of tenancy the managment has changes 4 times, the newest manager had no previous experience and it shows. She's also not comfortable with certain people, some of who have disability - this is my case, I suffer from a mental disorder and the new team was not comfortable with me. When asked if anyone else received this notice they said one other tenant on site but would not provide any information on the unit or tenant. In fairness when a tenant moves out management company has been renovating the apartments. This is no excuse to as me to leave without cause as the manager could have moved me to a renovated unit to upgrade my unit, which after 10 years was in grave need. Maintenance request sent while I was in the unit resulted in 'bandaids' being applied. The faucet at my bathroom sink had loosened, this was ignored; my freezer began filling with frost and the refrigerator was not keeping things cold. Instead of replacing the aged unit a quick fix was made and the unit made the most awful noise.
The apartments themselves are a nice size, offer a fireplace and a kitchen island. No other major amenities but with my disability it was a place I could offered quite well during the first 8 yrs. Over the past 2yrs my portion of the rent along with a new WSG fee increased 58%. With the increase my rent was paid each month on time with the exception of the last increase which was not forwarded to my payee, who was always updated with past increase and updates. The information was noted in my file to do so.
If you are looking for a low income apartment. have patience when an issue needs attention, and you have no visible handicaps this is the place for you!
