Resident 2022 - 2023

Ok if you want to pay for a place

Well when I first wrote in about a year and 3 months ago I had a really good time But after a month of being there, things started falling apart. The heater in the living room on the left side was not working and almost caused electrical fire when and. And when I want to go open my freezer for the first time. The handle broke. And smack me across the Burger me too black eyes. And when to go put my towel on, the tower regularly fell out of the wall. And november last year, the outside power That runs all of the lighting outside, including in the stairwell, went out. They didn't get it repaired until February of this year. And during that time I have fallen down the stairs 3 to 4 times and I've complained several times that was when the original manager Julia was there and a few other people. I wrote out all my maintenance requests and repairs and also my accommodations. Because I did request a lower level apartment with no carpet. And they told me If I took this apartment upstairs, they would accommodate me. By taking out the carpet, we're pushing… See More>

It's basically, and hopefully for you, a very temporary place to occupy until your plans come together. Antiquated buildings. My unit had NO coaxial cable (internet) outlets, only phone jacks. The guy from Frontier (DSL) told me the connections from the building were so bad he couldn't guarantee service. Don't plan on a parking space within 150ft from your front door. I applied and signed up for a entirely reno'd unit which was to include a ceiling fan in the master, medicine cabinet in the bathroom, new carpets, kitchen cabinets, vinyl and fixtures. I hereby swear, one and a half weeks after application approval AND on the night before moving day I get a call from the resident manager, at 6:45pm, that I can't move in until five days later because the carpets weren't done yet. Having no place to go I pleaded to allow my belongs to stay in kitchen/dining area while they finish the carpets. Upon move in I find that my "reno'd" apartments only had new carpet. The supposed new cabinets throughout were merely painted espresso with vinyl covered doors. The counter tops were shot with some kind of texturized crap and the cabinet over spray onto… See More>

      Resident 2015 - 2016

Very poorly managed. Dog poop everywhere! They provide doggie bags but people don't use them, and there are tons of dogs living there. Vehicles parked illegally, making it a challenge to get in and out. Laundry room filthy, smells awful. Residents routinely dumped trash and unwanted household items in front of the garbage dumpsters instead of putting it inside. Kids running wild in the parking lot, unsupervised, until late in the evening. Loud music at midnight, complaints not addressed. There were rules, but they were *not* enforced; the people there seem to know they can get away with anything. The apartments get stifling hot on even moderately warm days. Don't bother cleaning thoroughly when you move... they'll take a substantial amount out of your deposit anyway. The carpet fee they can take out by law, but the other fees taken from me were just plain stealing. Wonderful neighborhood, but this apartment complex is more like a badly managed motel than a home. You won't get any peace and quiet here.

I am a residential neighbor to this complex. As a neighbor I have had no problems for many years. I live very close to one of the buildings but for the most part you could not tell it was there. Over the last few years things have really changed. The complex has become very noisy and there are many children. Which most of them run around the complex unsupervised. This has led to fence boards being knocked out and children in parts of the complex that were off limits before. The noise from this makes it hard to get peace on many days. This year for the first time in 20 years several air conditioners were installed on the back of building facing my back yard. That is ok but 1 of them is on 24 hrs a day even when it is 50 degrees. That has ruined my ability to enjoy my own back yard. I have tried to talk with management about this but they seem to not be concerned and have told me that I will have to deal with it. So there you go. Not a good neighbor to those outside of complex and the management is not… See More>

I've read some of the other reviews and they just seem outdated...no idea about the old manager, strict grounds keeping, etc. but I can give you my current experience. 1) Management and maintenance. 5/5 This is a relatively small apartment complex and it shows in the way you are treated. Literally every time my boyfriend and I have been in to the office - to pay our rent, get a package, etc. - the manager has been super friendly and on top of things. He always addresses us by name and asks us about our lives and how things are going. When I went to ask him about getting our closet door fixed, he even remembered my apartment number off the top of his head. That is REALLY nice. The maintenance guy is the bomb. When my car had a flat, he came and checked it out for me. When our closet door was broken it was literally fixed within 24 hours. The manager came to check it out right away, and fixed it most of the way. To finish the job, they had to order a part and I was thinking "man, this is gonna take forever." Nope, it was there and… See More>

I have lived here for almost 2 years now and have no problems with the apartments or the management. They do make the most out of an older building. The manager was very helpful and the maintenance staff that repaired my garbage disposal was nice and efficient. I never had any mold problems. I'm only moving due to a job transfer, but found this complex to be a good for the low rent that I pay. I would give it a 4/5. Its a good starter apartment and nice price. I rank it lower than 5 for there is not patio and washer dryer in apartment. Parking is good too. Many spots here

Greenfield Village is a great place, I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a quiet and safe place to live. I have lived here for almost two years and am unfortunately relocating due to a job change. I've never had any problems with other tenants or management staff. I had amazing neighbors and the manager was always very nice and professional. Most tenants here keep to themselves and are very respectful to everyone around them. It was a very quiet and comfortable place to live, and being a single female living alone, there was never a time that i felt unsafe. Management was great and always informs you ahead of time if they need to inspect your home, which is only twice a year, or if there will be changes to anything in the apartment. I always felt like i knew what was going on and always was given an option to schedule times that worked best for me. My move in and move out process was very easy and very quick, and the manger was supportive and very nice throughout my entire stay. This was my first apartment and I feel that I was really lucky. Reading through all the reviews I was suprised!? I personally have lived in bad apartments in Oregon and this is not one of them! The building is a little dated. That you can't change too much. However for a simple two bedroom in a nice, well off neighborhood this place is great. Close to parks, good local schools, shopping, as well as Tigard itself is a great area. It is clean and quiet. I think the post on here are from mostly women locals who maybe feel a little misunderstood. At any rate we all have our opinions. Good apartments, just a little dated is all.

I've lived here for almost a year now, and I totally plan on renewing my lease. I don't know if it is just my building, but it's always been nice and quiet. And any time we have ever had to tell management about something broken, or any issues with neighbors(which was once or twice), or maybe needed to borrow a tool, it's been taken care of that day, or the next. Maria, the manager, has also been fantastic to deal with. She's always been as helpful as she can. I'm not Maria, or trying to do her any favors, I really do live here. any other bad reviews, are probably cause those people weren't following the rules they agreed to in their lease, or maybe they have some ------ neighbors, which can happen if you live in an apartment!

They told me when I moved in they were updating the fitness center in a month, my former neighbor has been there 3 years and they told her the same thing. There are severe mold problems, and everything in the apartment breaks easily because it was never fixed right in the first place. I lived there for a year and the only thing I liked about the apartment complex was my neighbors. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because when we signed a lease we got a rent deal.

Stay Away !!! Used to be Good. Now horrible with new management

The December review must have been written by the manager!! So not true...Lived here for a few years so I know the change in management and to current manager was NOT a good thing. Now that theyve fired the best friendliest trustworthy maintenance person -there is literally no one you can trust. They will enter your apartment and invade privacy under the auspice of maintenance checks. There are large areas of mud where there used to be shrubs and plants. They dismantled the gym and never put equipment back, theve stated for over 1.5 years they would. Spent 10k on flowers for the front when it wasn't necessary, rather then painting the mailboxes, the car ports the bulidings!...we can go on and on ...there are also car break ins here and car damage by the low life residence that the current manager recruits as tenants just to get the place full. The trash bins overflow into the parking lot, the laundry rooms dirty. The management company has no interest to the residence that live here just to the bottom line and profits - typical for a real estate corporation that screws the renter attitude

                            gotta be kidding

The review for December 2011 must have been written by the apartment manager! NO not a nice place to live anymore (it was I hear many years ago). Management for the complex is a real estate firm that has no interest in its tenants just upping the rents and not making improvements beyond superficial ones which is what they really well represent real estate aka the word "superficial". Had a gym then they got rid of all equipment years ago and never replaced. Added on water sewer and garbage seperate charge always increasing to gouge the residents more than when it was included in the rent. Lots of unsupervised kids, lots of noise and allow questionable tenants.cars vandalized. Laundry rooms dirty.

I lived at Greenfield Village Apartments for 9 years, the last several of which the manager Maria has done an excellent job. The common areas have always been clean and when I call her with maintenance requests for repairs in my apartment she is very quick to respond. Rich the maintenance man does a great job as well. Together they run a very well managed comfortable living enviroment. Both are always willing to help, as a former tenant I was happy to to live there because of their hard work. Chris J.

LOVED Greenfield Village Apartments and sad to leave!

I lived at Greenfield Village Apartments a little over a year and it s been a great experience! So sad to leave actually! It's one of the most affordable places in the Portland Metro area, and you get your money s worth! You can ALWAYS count on the maintenance people! They don t jip you when you move out either! The management is honest, down to earth and nice. The entire place has a great, safe and comfortable atmosphere! The neighbors are friendly and want to get to know you! Great for kids! It has a small, quite feel to it and is very community based. As a nerdy, straight edge, poor college student girl who values privacy, safety and quite, I found Greenfield Village was perfect for me. Everyone is respectful. I would recommend this place to anyone! Normally I don t leave reviews, but I read some of these reviews and I want to emphasize that my experience with Greenfield Village speaks volumes against what has been written and I almost have to laugh because it seems ridiculous!

The author below is correct. They "inspect" your place TWICE a year. the reality is, they are SPYING on you. They are looking for violations of your rental agreement, NOT always looking for maintenance problems. They have been caught taking cell phone photos in some apartments. my neighbor caught the manager coming into the unit when she thought they weren't there. she moved out. others suspect the same, but can't prove it...yet. Tenants with visiting guests have been falsely accused of having roommates, when its just their kids visiting. This place is run like a prison, and the grounds look like it too. "too perfect". An "old timer" complained that they banned private gardens in front of the units. Its very homogenized, and you will feel it driving into the place. The asst manager, whom everyone loved, was fired and driven out after she reported certain "abuses". The other post below is correct.... Their ads say 'UPGRADE'. They upgraded the small venetian blinds to big blinds. SO WHAT! oh, the things they DONT tell you are: The fire station is a few blocks down the road. the upper top 1/2 of this place is near a T intersection where 50% of the fire trucks have to stop at and… See More>

First off, If you see the craigslist ad Greenfield LIES. They DO NOT have patio/balcony. They do not have granite counter tops. They do not allow dogs. They do not have a sauna. They do not have a fitness center. When we first moved here, they had two broken cardio equipments. They said they would be replaced as soon as possible. Hmm..A year later and still nothing. Expect to have the manager and maintenance man enter your home every six months and go through all your stuff as part of a 'required' maintenance check. At first I didn't think this would be so bad, until she started opening up drawers and cupboards! It felt so intrusive. They don't ask you when is a good time to come by, they tell you will come by wether you are home or not. Then to top it off, the maintenance guy reschedules ANOTHER mandatory visit to fix the things they say as unfit. So that is 4 mandatory visits to your home a year. Not on your time, going through your stuff. Make sure you write EVERYTHING that is wrong with your apartment when you move in. Even if it is the tiniest… See More>

Beware! New owners, new management....only thing "new" about this facility.

Greenfield Village used to be a perfect place to live. Quiet community, pleasing exterior and beautiful tenant gardens, management who cared about facility and tenants, and appropriate rent level for the age of the facility. THIS NO LONGER EXIST! During transition from previous owners to new owners, (parents sold to their children). The new owners have looked at the surrounding apartments and are trying to raise rent to their level. Unfortunately, they are not being realistic. In comparison, the higher rent apartment complexes are newer, do not have black mold problems in walls, offer washer & dryer in units, appliances are newer and not the original units from when the place was built, more floor space and larger closets, plus windows which do not sweat throughout year and has black mold growing on sealant and window. Property REQUIRES in lease paperwork to not put anything against walls and if the tenant sees mold to use bleach and clean it up to maintain issue. ( I am not quite sure if this is legal to Oregon State Bar laws for the Rental Associations requirements for maintenance of black mold as far as a health issue). Most of the residents had been here for more than ten years and it was a close knit community. Since changing property management companies it has gone way down hill. The place looks like a dump and most of the long time residents have since moved. I would never ever reccomend this property or any other properties that Cambridge Management ran. Rent has gone way up and there are no ammenties. Kids are not welcome as well. They made everyone pull up their plants and flowers and dont allow any sort or outdoor decorating.

It's an incredible invasion of privacy but they pass it off as "looking for items in need of repair". I tend to think this is not legal ... the POLICE need a warrant to search your apartment but the management does not?

The notice they give you has a section to list needed repairs. I have experienced several of these inspections and none of the items I have listed on the sheet have ever been attended to.

Illegal search! Management says it's legal as long as they give you 24 hour notice, but I still say they need a better reason than "preventative maintenance inspection" to search through your entire apartment.

I lived at Greenfield Village for 2 years and I have to say it's the best place I have ever lived, the staff there is great, the grounds look sharp all the time, and they take care of the place like it's there home.
