When I first moved to Allentown I didn't know much about the area and chose to live at Olde Towne based solely on its proximity to work. Unfortunately, it failed to live up to my expectations. All of the previous reviews regarding noise are 100% true. I lived on the 2nd floor and couldn't even watch TV at a normal level because I could not hear it over the noise coming from downstairs. I tried to knock on the door many times and ask them to turn their music down but never received an answer. I finally complained to management but nothing was ever done to address the issue. Like the noise, the smells from the neighboring apartments come right through the walls and floors. Not only did I have to leave at times because the smells were so strong, but even my clothes began to smell like the food being cooked by my neighbors. Also, the apartment complex sits on a corner right across from a bar and a number of warehousing facilities. Therefore, music from the bar can be heard sometimes until 2 am and there is quite a bit of truck traffic which is somewhat loud. If you are thinking of Olde Towne for the gym -- forget about it. When I first moved in the gym was full of decent, functional equipment. The pieces slowly broke and were either removed from the gym or marked with an "out of order" sign -- nothing was ever repaired or replaced. All in all, I quickly learned that there are many apartments in the area which are much nicer, quieter, and less expensive than the Apartments at Olde Towne.
