My non-smoking apartment was filled with smoke from every other unit in the building. When I complained to the office I was told, "Non-smoking doesn't really mean non-smoking. It means we ask people not to smoke, but we can't do anything to make them stop." I hated living here and breaking lease was one of the best decisions I ever made. The office manager lies though her teeth and is dumb as a rock. I asked what year the apartment was built for my renter's insurance and was told "early 1900s." If anyone ever needs to know this, 1989 seems to be the correct answer. The maintenance people are nice, but it is clear that the management company does everything as cheaply as possible. A tree fell and hit the building. It damaged the roof, and at the time I left the ceiling in one of the stairwells was falling in and the whole area reeked of mold.
