Resident 2015 - 2017

5/29/2017

All around pretty poor from the word go. When my wife and I went to Whitehall's office, there were 3 staff members and none of them wanted to show us the townhouse until my wife said she was a dentist. Very unprofessional. All people should be treated the same and then a background/credit check can be run. Needless to say once they realized we might actually be able to afford a unit, all 3 bickered over who would show it to us. Townhouse we got was in the midst of a remodel, but promised items were never included. Did not receive the promised dishwasher and air conditioner. Also, the kitchen and bathroom remodel were done poorly and maintenance admitted that due to this it would not drain properly. Biggest issue though is that we were promised the backyard would be mowed once before we moved in and a fence put up (there had been one previously but it blew done before we moved into the unit). 2 years later and after numerous complaints, this still has not been done. Pathetic. All things considered, it is not a good place to be and when… See More>

      Decent

Grant it the management team, the current one, is not in the office at the scheduled times always, but they also have nine others to manage. They are willing to work with the tenants and has greatly improved since they have stuck with the property manager that they currently have. People complain that problems are not fixed, yet they do not take into acount that the management and maintnance staff are overworked and have had to deal with a lot of deadbeat tenants. By the way this is not the management and/or maintance staff.

        NEVER! move here.

I ended up breaking my lease to leave. Neighbors are noisy, have no sense of propriety, and the management company (which rotates to new ones constantly) never does anything. Doors have been urinated on by children, my vehicle was vandalized, soda was discarded on my living room window, laundry stolen, water poored into my son's room on a regular basis, you name it... it happened there! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!

          Could Be Worse

I have lived here for 2 years. Yes there are some things that need improvment, but take a look at your monthly rent payment! You can not find a place better for that price. Most places in this area are around 500.00 a month, then you have utilities to pay. What I have seen, the manager will make improvments, then the children that live in the building run around undoing every improvment. Parents who live there need to supervise there children and teach them better manners. It is not all the managments fault in fact 90% of the problem are the unsupervised children, I have children and they do not run the halways, play in the parking lot, or vandalise any property. They know better!!! The only sugestion I have is that a fenced in playground should be installed in the grass area next to the parkline units this would keep kids off the parking lot and maybe keep them from roaming the halls getting into trouble, not that there parents care but it may help.

            Still Rotten I see

            In response to JD2181949 's 3/1/2004 comment.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was either the manager or the assistant manager writing that review. There was nothing nice or decent about those apartments, dont be fooled. The apartment was flooded, and the conditions were as deplorable as stated. I have pictures posted to prove it and a report was made to the health department. As for being asked to leave" I can't speak for everyone else, but I can safely say I was never "asked to leave". I left on my own because it was a horrible living situation that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Except maybe Whitehalls managers, because apparently they could still use a serious wake up call.
If what you meant by youre "they were asked to leave.you know what I mean" comment is that we were basically forced out, by being made to live in unfit conditions, then what kind of claim to fame is that? Is that something to be proud of?
The only way the staff would go out of their way to do anything for the tenants, is if the old staff had been completely replaced by people who care… See More>

              GOOD

APARTMENTS IS A NICE, DECENT PLACE TO LIVE.
THE PROBLEM WITH THE "ANONYMOUS" REVIEWS AND THE LAST ONE IS THAT THEY WERE "ASKED" TO LEAVE OFFICIALLY----YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
REALLY IF A PLACE WAS FLOODED LIKE YOU SAY --WOULDN´T THEY BE CITED OR FINED? THE ONLY THING I WISH IS THAT THE APARTMENTS AT WHITEHALL HAD MORE 2 BEDROOM. THERE IS A LONG WAITING LIST FOR THEM. A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THAT PLAN WANT TO MOVE TO THOSE BUILDINGS. MANAGEMENTS PROBLEM IS THAT SOMETIMES THEY JUST CAN´T SAY NO TO TENANTS AND THEN THOSE TENANTS TAKE ADVANTAGE.

                The worst management ever

The management here is bad, very bad.I´ve lived here going on 4 years. I´ve been looking for another place. The manager, assistant manager and the maintenace man are all related (mother, daughter and son. Nothing ever gets done in a reasonable amount of time. It usually takes the maintenance man two weeks or more to get to a repair and it´s never fixed right. The assistant manager is very rude towards the tenants, except those she favors.I personally have caught her in several lies. Also management seems to never be here, their off running around, going to meetings, having lunch. Management is always making up rules as they go, especially the daughter. We had even asked her to set up tenants committee, I was told by the daughter that she the committee and we didn´t need one. This place is always noisy, the police are here often for fights, drugs and loud music. The owner of this apartment complex should take a real hard look at who they have running the place. A neighbor of mine said that a third daughter also worked here for a while, but was let go for stilling money. Doesn´t sound like the type of family… See More>

                  An experience in pain

The time I spent at the Apartments at Whitehall was the worst and most frustrating time I´ve ever had in my life.
The Management was horrible! It was composed entirely of one family, The mother being the manager and her son and daughter were her staff.

Within one month of our moving in, we had a flood inside our apartment; the entire living room was effected and the rug was completely saturated with dirty water. We reported it right away, but even so we were left to live in that filth for almost 2 full weeks.
Management knew that there was a problem with flooding in that apartment, but never made any attempt to repair the problem.

A few months later in the summer, there was a problem with the plumbing in the bathroom. Once again it was reported right away. Maintenance showed up within a few hours and laid down some paper towels to soak up the water, and left saying he would come back in an hour, he never did. Within the week that followed the leak had gotten so bad the bathroom floor was just one big puddle and the water was now soaking into the hallway rug and heading… See More>

                    Total Disaster

I totally agree with the last review. When our carpet flooded, the maintenance man shop-vacuumed the hall carpet, then left without doing our apartment. He tried to say that a lady´s sink fell off the wall, so he left to fix that. COME ON.... The sinks are contained in a wooden cabinet and attached to the floor, not the wall... In any case, I was promised another apartment in the building by a certain date, but that never happened. The maintenance man was constantly drunk, didn´t know how to fix half of our problems, and got his underaged son to help him out most of the time. The daughter (assistant manager) lied constantly about things, and the whole staff (all 3 of them) would often not be in the office during business hours. In all, a horrible experience. I would recommend anyone thinking of Whitehall apartments to think harder, there are better choices out there.
