Downsizing as an empty nester, I chose Radcliff House for its location, close to shops and two train stations and walking distance to the local library and parks. Architecturally the building is classic 1970s, but the construction is all masonry and concrete. I had an end unit, but I never heard my neighbors (except for some plumbing sounds from upstairs). The office staff and maintenance staff are top notch. The leasing office is open M through F 9:30 to 5:30 and Saturdays 9:30 to 3:30 and unless the manager was showing an apt, she was always in the office. Email and phone calls returned immediately. All maintenance issues were taken care of the day I mentioned them. I did have two emergencies: the furnace cut out once and once the refrigerator circuit cut out and emergency maintenance showed up in 30 minutes both times and promptly fixed the problem. I always was safe.
