I lived in Drexelbrook for almost 10 years. I left because I bought a house. I always felt safe. The neighborhood is nice, the courtyards are pretty. They have 24 hour security and you can often see the Drexelbrook Police riding around. They also have 24 hour maintenance which is great when your toilet overflows on a Friday night!

I lived in a 2 bedroom with a washer and dryer in the apartment. The stairs to the 2nd floor are inside the apartment so you´re not walking around hallways at night. The washer and dryer are small, but I really liked not having to go to the basement to do laundry. Consequently, I can´t comment on the laundry facilities.

There´s a supermarket, drug store and trolley stop all within walking distance. Everything is easily accessible. The only problem is the one-way streets. The apartments were built a long time ago (but have been totally refurbished in the last 10 years!)and the streets are narrow. Most of the streets in the complex are one-way. Sometimes giving directions or finding your way around can be confusing. There are parking lots everywhere, but in my case, parking on the street was more convenient. There are also playgrounds for children located throughout the grounds.

They now allow one or two cats.

Each apartment has a small storage space in the basement. Trash collection is in the basement as well. The basement did tend to get wet in the rain, so storing things was a slight problem.

Overall, I enjoyed living there. I would not hesitate to recommend the facility.
