Resident • 2009 - 2012
I am a former resident at Melrose Station Apartments and I am writing to complain about what started out as a good community and a place I wanted to call home for a long time. My biggest complaints are centered on the Manager, Jennifer. She is not only VERY unprofessional but she is EXTREMELY rude! I have experienced her being rude on numerous occasions personally, but I have also witnessed her being rude to the children in the community. I am aware of a few children that were being destructive, but the young ladies that she was rude to aren t those same kids. They are good young ladies and were always respectful when I encountered them. On more than one example, including a few weeks ago, I needed to stop in the office to discuss something with her or put money on my laundry card at 9:00 AM, prior to going to work, and no one was there. On one day, I waited until almost 9:45 AM to speak with her and still didn t get a chance to because I had to leave for work or else I would have been late. On the other occasion, if it hadn t been for the maintenance guy unlocking the door to where the laundry machine is, I wouldn t have been able to wash clothes later that evening when I returned home.
She is very nasty and talks to residents with a nasty, condescending tone, and one time I had to restrain myself because an altercation would have happened. In addition to being nasty, she is always complaining about having so much work to do, but is always outside taking smoking breaks. I even overheard her talking to another resident about how much she hated her job, wanted to leave and wanted to update her resume to get the hell out of here! . There have been a few times where I have had to wait for her to stop smoking to speak to her in the office and I also had to endure the after effects of the smoke in my face.
As I stated, I wanted to remain at Melrose for a while, but it is very hard when you deal with someone that has a mean spirit, nasty attitude, constantly takes smoking breaks, and doesn t want to be there, which is evidenced by her attitude. I am not sure what will be done with this correspondence, but I urge you to correct this ASAP. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
