We lived at Summerdale for two years, while my wife attended Central Penn College right across the street.

The office folks were very pleasant to deal with and were always willing to help when there were problems. Unfortunately, there _were_ problems.

The apartments are poorly constructed. The room air conditioners in every unit are located immediately above the electric heating registers, which means every one is burnt and melted. We were told, "Oh, don´t worry, they´re all like that."

The stackable washer/dryer units were prone to breakdown; we were told that what we had was what we would get because parts were hard to come by. In particular, one part on the dryer was so faulty that almost every tenant had it break, and it was expressly EXCLUDED from maintenance. You paid a $57.00 charge every time it broke.

The tilework in the bathroom was broken and poor, and the painting was very bad, usually covering up the electrical outlets and light switches.

I wouldn´t recommend them unless you´re just living there to go to school at Central Penn.
