My family and I moved in back in 2012, and we're still here. The initial attraction was the pricing, as the rate for a 1-bedroom apartment was almost $100 cheaper than an apartment of the same size we had rented 5 years previous. Even with a few rate hikes over the past 2 years, we're still paying less than we did. The complex is situated in a great quiet neighborhood, with quick access to businesses and attractions in the area. The apartments themselves are pretty good. The layout is a little cramped, especially the kitchen. It could use more counter space. The walls are a little thin, as stated in an earlier review, but if you let the office know, they'revusually pretty good with letting people know they're too loud. There are some issues with the water, particularly the shower, where it suddenly gets very hot. Overall though, for apartments that are 40, 50 years old, I can't complain. Maintenance issues are handled pretty promptly, the guy lives on the property and can be see going back and forth throughout the day so I usually just end up approaching him directly instead of going through the office. Helene, the property manager, is there 3 days a week and her door is always open. Anything we've approached her about has been handled promptly. I know she works with tenants that are going through tough times as opposed to just being a corporate rep there to collect rent. I'd recommend this complex first and foremost to anyone looking to move into the area.
