The previous negative reviews are pretty spot on. But, here's what I have -- Pros: * Decent sq footage * I've never felt unsafe in the area * My neighbors, what's left of them, are great * Front desk ladies are very nice * Never had any bug problems * Maintenance guys are usually on point Cons: * Since new management took over, everything has gone downhill * Last year they raised my rent by $100/mo. I could only afford it because I had just gotten a promotion at work. They wanted to raise my rent by almost $100/mo AGAIN this year (despite not having any renovations). Sadly, I don't get promotions every year, so I cannot afford to live here anymore -- not that it's worth it. * They ruined the landscaping. There was a beautiful dogwood (I think) the bloomed pink every spring - gone. Established bushes they served as privacy shields - gone (I no longer feel comfortable sitting on my porch since there is NO cover anymore and my view is now either the parking lot or my neighbor's living room). Muddy holes everywhere. The craggly little bushes the planted died. The grass died as well since they didn't water it. It's a sad mess. * The price for what you get & for the location is not worth it. There are better deals out there. * When I gave them my 60 days notice and explained why, no effort was made to try to retain my business, they did not care, which they should have since tenants are leaving left and right. * Between breaks in the water main and power outages, I wonder what's next? * No utilities included. Old hvac system = expensive to heat/cool. Electric/cable/heat/water not included. You have to pay for trash "service" however the trash service is messy and often leaves trash on the ground that they do not pick up. * Sidewalks need repair, there is a particularly bad spot that turns into a swimming pool when it rains * Poor snow/ice removal on the walkways * The HVAC is LOUD. I can't hear my TV over it unless I crank up the volume to 40 (normally level 12 is plenty). * I can hear the water pipes when anyone in the building uses water. It makes a loud CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK sound whenever anyone takes a shower/etc. It is loud enough to wake me up at night. * Walls/ceilings are thin. I can hear my neighbors walking around, opening dresser drawers, watching movies etc. * Washer/Dryer is TINY. A "large" load is 2 towels.
