My husband and I have lived here since early November, 2019, and we love it! We moved out of our home of 45 years in a hurry because sudden health changes made it dangerous for us to use the stairs leading to our bedroom there. We wanted to live in a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with no stairs. It was important to us to be close to public transportation, to live in a community that welcomed residents of all ages and was racially and ethnically diverse. Our home here meets all of these needs and more. We have less than a ten-minute walk to the train station and bus stops; our first floor apartment is completely ADA compliant and has an attached garage. We look forward to using the swimming pool this summer, and we have already used the exercise equipment available for residents in the clubhouse, where the leasing office is also located. The managers and the maintenance staff are friendly and helpful; there is always someone in the office to answer questions. A sporadic problem with our garage door opener took several visits to diagnose, and the staff hung in there with us, patiently responding within a day to our reports that the opener had stopped working again. When they determined that our opener unit needed to be replaced, they ordered a new one immediately and installed it as soon as it came. It has worked beautifully ever since. A holiday party for all residents was held in December, and a "Residents Appreciation Week" was enjoyed by all in February, with activities such as decorating and eating cupcakes, making valentines, a wine and cheese tasting party one evening, and a supply of snacks in the clubhouse all week.
