Resident 2007 - 2008

5/22/2008

I've lived in this apartment since December of 07 and I can't wait to get out. It started from the time we moved in that the secretary of the leasing office told me she was going to give me a copy of the lease and two months later, after I had to ask repeatedly, she finally gave me a copy laughing at 'just a mishap'. They had signs posted on every floor laundry room that stated no laundry should be done after 11 PM and there was a reason. People were doing their laundry on our floor at all hours of the night waking up our daughter. When we told the security guard on duty he did nothing time after time. It got to a point we called the office and spoke with the secretary who was surprised when we mentioned the signs in each laundry room and also part of our lease stating that they expect their tenants to abstain from nuisance behavior, etc. To our surprise, the very next day all signs were removed and the office never called us back like they said they would once they figured out a solution. We called them and they instructed us that if it was such a problem, they couldn't do anything and we should call the police. Once it got warmer our door swelled a little so the locks didn't line up and wouldn't lock. It took one full week and three phone calls to get it fixed while I couldn't go anywhere, because I didn't want to leave the apartment unlocked after someone ripped a laundry money machine right off the wall a few weeks before. I feel badly for the one maintenence man they have, he does very good work and he is the one nice person we have met that works here. We thought living directly beside The Club4Life would be great, but you wouldn't want to live there from the end of May till it snows, because their outside bar The Beach blasts dance music all day and all night so loud that with our window open we can't hear our t.v. If you are immune to ignorance and disrespect, please live here, but if you like privacy and treating people like you want to be treated, then I would steer clear! Take your money and find a nice place that certainly isn't the Racquet Club. They should have called it the RACKET CLUB, because it is.
