Selma Estate Apartments

We moved in here last year after moving back to the area (we lived in NY for 3 years). My wife grew up in Lansdale and I grew up on the Main Line. We were so happy to find this place. The size is great. We have 2 nice sized bedrooms, a giant living room/dining room area, and a pretty nice kitchen. Having 2 full bathrooms doesn't hurt either. We have 2 dogs with no problem, one big and one small. The apartment is more than big enough to accommodate them both. The storage room, personal laundry room, and garage, have been awesome. One of the things I love the most is the fact that you can almost never hear your neighbors. I've walked into the building and heard a raging party in the apartment next door, but as soon as I'm in my own place, I hear nothing. My wife and I have decided to stay here until it's time for us to buy a house (or have a kid). As with any apartment complex, there is always going to be something that you don't like. Sometimes, the parking is a bit of a pain, but that's really only when it snows. Regardless, though, you still have 2 spots (garage and right in front of the garage). Most of the problems come from the occasional poor tenants (ones that don't pick up their own dog poo, leave trash all over the place) but the property manager usually takes care of issues in an acceptable time frame. The only real issues is the utilities. Over the winter, the apartment gets very cold and so the heating bill is a bit ridiculous. We're on the 1st floor though, so maybe it's different on the 2nd floor. The garage is right underneath the bedrooms so they (and their floors) get a bit chilly. It would be nice if the floors were better insulated. The windows and doors are a bit drafty too, but we put the foam tape sealant on them and heavy drapes and it helped out. Thankfully, we've never lived in an apartment with good temperature management, so it's nothing new to us! The water bills are always almost the same and totally acceptable. Overall, we love this place. It feels like home, is in great shape, and we've never had a problem getting anything fixed, cleaned, or taken care of. We've recommended it to multiple people already.
