I have lived in a lot of apartments in a few different states and I have to say that overall, this is the best.
Pros:
-Grounds are maintained very well. Its been a terrible winter and they have kept up with it impeccably. Even digging out snow trails to walk dogs.
-Staff is extremely friendly and helpful
-Apartments are very large. I live in the one bedroom and its the largest I have ever lived in
-Huge parking lots with lots of available spots
-Neighbors are friendly and quiet
-Grounds are pretty and secluded
-Close to the mall, grocery stores, gyms, etc
-Very pet friendly
Cons:
-Appliances and overall kitchens and bathrooms are pretty outdated (but I believe this is more than made up for in the very low rent price)
-Laundry facilities aren't the best (I always have to pay twice to get my stuff to dry)
-If you're commuting to Pittsburgh during rush hour, expect the average commute to be about 45 minutes (on weekends and off hours though, the commute downtown is a breeze and close to 15 minutes)
-I live in a ground floor unit and when I have guests, they sometimes complain of a smell in the common area (I don't notice it and its never affected my apartment)
-Insulation from the cold isn't the best, but it is an older building
Overall, this is a fantastic place to live if you are single or have a family. The pros more than outweigh the cons for me and I plan to renew my lease when it comes up.
