777 South Broad
Resident · 2012 - 2016
I lived here in a 2BR/2BA from 2012 - 2016 and am moving out only because I bought a home in the suburbs. Before moving in, I considered and toured many other luxury Center City apartments and none gave the complete package of what I was looking for like 777 South Broad. The staff are professional and friendly. The building is very secure. A key fob is needed to get into the building; then a key fob is needed to use the elevators; then a separate key is needed for your actual unit apartment. Food delivery persons (pizza, Chinese food, etc.) are not even allowed to come upstairs for security reasons. Any visitor or guest must check-in with the front desk and the front desk will then call you to make sure the person is approved to visit. Again, very secure building and no random people in and out, which I really appreciate. The rooftop is amazing to catch the sunset. All maintenance requests are responded to very quickly and unobtrusively. My maintenance requests were very minor - replacing overhead light bulbs typically. Bosch in-unit washer and dryer. Assigned storage rooms for your luggage and other large items you may not need to keep in your apartment such as a fake Christmas tree. Everyone I met in the building was friendly, but not nosy. Many lawyers, physicians, business persons, a famous Top Chef winner, and a few professional athletes over the years (Donavon McNabb; Freddy Adu; Riley Cooper; Wayne Simmonds; etc.) The 24/7 door person is a big benefit. Packages are always signed for and held for you. Dry-cleaning can be sent out and returned to you through the building. It is a short walk to the best areas of Center City such as Rittenhouse Square and South Street. Whole Foods, CVS, Starbucks are nearby. Bus stops nearby. Train is 2 blocks away. Easy to get a taxi or Uber at any time. Gated parking (for a fee) monitored by video cameras 24/7. Otherwise, plentiful street parking around the building. The building does many nice things throughout the year, my favorite being cookies and warm cider during the holidays in the lobby. Also, there is a gym in the building, and a trainer can be arranged to come to the building. If you pay for an outside gym membership, you really won't need to if you use the one on-site. There are also nice bicycles for resident use too, in case you wanted to bike to Rittenhouse Square instead of walking to it. You get a Dranoff card which gives you preferred discounts at numerous restaurants and other businesses in Philadelphia (i.e., 10% off, free desserts, etc.) I loved this apartment and am sad to go after many wonderful years at 777. The front desk (Pete, Dennis, etc.), the management (Maria), and maintenance persons are very competent, professional and a great pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this property for Philadelphia luxury living.
