We've lived at 777 for a year and a half and chose it because of it's amenities, specifically 24 hr. concierge/24 hour person at desk. At that time the apartment was owned by Dranoff. We were quite happy with the service, security, and overall maintenance of the building. Within a few months it was sold to Aimco and the whole vibe changed - communication is definitely not on the up and up. Initially, the new management held some meetings to discuss changes that they would be making regarding keyless entry system, new app for locks & heating/cooling system, and rent payment. Not so bad and reasonable. Then they renovated the lobby, installed a package delivery system (that we'll eventually have to pay a fee for), and only gave 1/2 information regarding their full intentions for this renovation. This week they phased out the 24 hour desk person without any communication to tenants. There is already an eroded trust factor with the new managers of this building and this move certainly was not well thought out on their part. Talked to a few of my neighbors and they are really concerned about security as there have been a few major issues in this area. We are quite disappointed in how Aimco has cut their overhead while putting tenant safety at risk.
