Resident 2012

3/12/2012

Pay the extra money and live somewhere else!

I don't even know where to begin. Sooooo many problems. Upon moving in, I was told that the place would be beautiful. I can guarantee the manager did not even inspect the room before we arrived because there were still dirty dishes in the dishwasher, food in the cabinet, and dirt on the walls. My wife and I had to clean everything when we moved in. I am unable to get internet because of bad signal (what am I suppose to?) I am very glad that this winter was mild. The windows are so old and crummy you can feel the air racing in. We keep our thermostat on 80 just to heat the apartment to 60 degrees. Several days we even went without heat because everything was broken, even hot water. The last apartment I lived in was the same. Another issue are the pets. Dogs are all over the apartment. You can hear them barking all night and half the people do not keep them on leaches. I even had a random dog run into my apartment once. The crew that works for Belmont seem very nice and are always friendly to me. The only problem I have is issues are not taken seriously, even when the emergency number is called. Lies are told to everyone to get them there, then BAM, you are trapped into a lease. There is only one maintenance guy that works at different locations. He is so busy and need more help to get stuff done. Because he is so busy, things are done half A**. Prepare yourself to live with bugs and rodents. I began to see them the week I moved in. On average, I see 5 roaches a day and a mouse every 3 days. However, I can say that the manager acted on this situation fast when we first told her and she had an exterminator there the same day. Did I say exterminator? Oops, I meant maintenance guy with a can of Raid. Are you kidding; a licensed exterminator would cost $$$, stupid me. The problem still continues. Everybody in the entire apartment has seen them. They are on all floors, hallways, laundry rooms, and outside. I see them in my cabinets, bathroom, bedroom, closets, and even once in the elevator. It is sad that some people who live there think seeing roaches are normal. This is a a health issue that should but never will get fixed. Chances are that they will now be in personal belongings and get transferred to my next apartment with me. Thank you Half Penny!! If I ate bugs, I would never have to buy groceries again. I I have so many complaints, I could go on for days. I will end it here but make sure you know what you are getting into. Please read all other reviews. Everything that is said IS true.
