Resident 2021

Eleanor Safer is the ultimate Karen. She is textbook definition of Karens who benefit from white privilege while treating minorities terribly. She is the building manager and the only contact person. You deal with her for anything and she seems very sweet when it benefits her, but all residents will tell you she is disturbingly rude and selfish. Doesn't ensure care of the building as a building manager should.

Elevator smells like pee. Backyard always smell like poop (since trash is never taken out). Plants are dead. Most if not all maintenance requests are ignored. The building manager (Eleanor) threatens tenants with fines but never actually manages or upkeep the building itself. Avoid Signature Investment real estate. Avoid 931 Clinton.

I lived in Clinton Court for almost 3 years and it was a great experience. The apartment in the Clinton Court was just amazing. I loved it. My apartment was in the fifth floor and it was small, but cute, nice, calm and comfortable place, with lot of light, and very nice view from the window. Even when located directly in the center city, Clinton street is just 2-block street - it is very silent and adorable street with many trees which are wonderful every single season. Neighborhood is one of the safest in Philadelphia and - The Washington square park, Rittenhouse, both rivers, are very close - so "running away to be in nature" was always just in the corner. The groceries, restaurants, bars, everything is just 5 minutes walking distance from the building. There are two doors in entrance, camera system, intercom; it is safe building. The building offers also parking spot - garage. There are garbage bins in building area for both - recycling and regular trash (you do not bother yourself to think when the garbage is going to be picked up). There is very nice patio with grill and chairs - it is very nice… See More>

I lived at Clinton Court for 3 years, and overall, I really enjoyed it there. It is located on a beautiful half street that is close to amazing restaurants, Jefferson campus, and supermarkets/shops. My studio was on the top floor and quiet, and my neighbors were friendly. Sometimes there would be loud noises (music, traffic, etc) coming from the street, but that comes with living in the city. The building was clean, and maintenance was usually quick to fix whatever work order I had put in. I felt safe overall and the neighborhood is beautiful, but it is the city so it was helpful to know familiar faces in the building. Overall, for the price of my studio, neighborhood/location, and convenience, I would live there again.

New management. The super lives below me and smokes 24 hrs a day and screams at his wife. They redid the lobby. It smells like they murdered the crew on the first 3 floors. Mold. Roaches. I reported my mail stolen. The owner's response was asking if i stole it? Yup....taking my own property. He's bright. They let a major drug dealer amd his friends move in last summer. Everyone's things were stolen and this was ignored.

I have lived here since 2011. The building is under new management from beginning of 2017 and they are doing a great job maintaining the building. They are also great and quick with any requests for apartment maintenance issues. You cant beat this location, it is close to everything in center city. I never had any problems with safety-the building is locked entry and monitored by security system. There is no problem with noise either since most of the residents are either professionals or graduate students. I would highly recommend checking this location especially if you are attending or working at Jefferson- which is a block away.

Great place to live - really loved my apartment, was sad to move out. Clean and safe, and the maintenance would come same or next day to fix any problems.

Over all, its a good price, great location, and if you know how to jazz up a space, it will work just fine. Yes now and then you may hear some music from next door, but never anything crazy. If anything, the building is kinda very quite. Not the most social place, but if you have your own friends and agenda, and looking for a place in center city, this is a good place for a single guy or girl. I live in a larger one bed room with the kitchen in the living room area. I thought I would not like that, but I don't mind it at all. I just did not want to cook in my bedroom. Also huge news, They just replaced all the rugs which was HUGE (the old ones did smell) And my entire time living here, iv seen two bugs in a year. Walk two blocks in south Philly and tell me you don't see bugs... Its the city, so I was expecting worse, but fortuity Its been ok (fingers crossed) I did resign my lease as I am over all happy with the place and… See More>

Smells like weed and cigarettes. Management does nothing about second-hand smoke coming from neighbors' apartments, despite the fact that it's supposed to be a non-smoking building. There are also roaches and house centipedes. Children run around and stomp up and down the halls, and the walls are paper thin. Washers and dryers are always broken, yet the cost to use keeps increasing.

                    Building a mess, location great

I lived there for a few years. Stayed as long as I did because of it's convenient location. The building is a mess, smells and has mold, elevator broken more often than working and the roof leaks like a seive.

                      HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT

I lived here for a year and the management was absolutely horrible. Like another reviewer said, when I went to view the apartment they were extremely nice and seemed to be very accommodating but when I signed the lease and moved it that changed very quickly. First of all when I went to see the apartment, one of the kitchen drawers was missing and there was no bathroom mirror or lighting fixture in place and there were wires hanging out of wall. They assured me that "Of course that would be fixed before I moved in!" But when I moved in, there was still no drawer and no lighting or mirror in the bathroom..They eventually fixed it after several calls to the management office. Also, it was very clear that no one had even cleaned the place before I moved in, it was actually pretty disgusting in there, from the bathroom, to the floors to the kitchen appliances, etc. Second, whenever I needed anything fixed in the apartment, it was a total nightmare. I had to continuously call over and over about my garbage disposal for them to finally come out a few weeks later. The roof in the hallway… See More>

                        i like this place

i've lived in clinton court for almost a year now and i really like it here. the apartment is a decent size but the bedroom is kinda small. i like the building and the management is great! if i ever needed anything they got to it right away. sometimes i can hear the neighbors walking around upstairs but it never really bothers me. clinton street is great too. foodery across the street and wholefoods 2 blocks away. overall, i've had a good experience living here. great place for students. pretty easy to find parking on the street. ------>that was my response that i wrote a few months ago- just wanted to say that i spoke too soon. i have yet to receive my security deposit... i keep calling and they keep telling me they'll call me back- which they never do.

                          Not that great

They rental agent was super nice, almost too nice when I was looking to rent, but as soon as I signed the lease that all changed. My wall heater broke during the coldest week of the year (it snowed too) and I left 16 (yes 16) messages for the property manager and he didnt return my phone calls until after my father in florida called up and threatened to sue. I never did get the heater fixed or replaced, instead he put a 1970s space heater on the floor of my apt.

The apts are SMALL, and the walls are THIN, I heard my neighbors all during the night and it was very uncomfortable. If you live underneath someone it will feel as if they are walking in your apt the ceilings are that thin.

Stay away, I moved here from Florida and wasn't aware that I could find another nice and much larger apt in the city for the same price.

I will say that Clinton street is a very beautiful and safe street, and that was the only thing that I really liked about it, oh and the maintance man, he is friendly and… See More>

                            Great location, small apartments

Having lived in Clinton Court a few years ago, I can honestly say that the building was in a superb location on a beautiful street. That's where my love affair with the place ends.
I lived in a very small efficiency, well under 300 square feet, only because the apartment I had originally wanted with the Real Estate Agency was in no way, shape, or form, fit for human habitation. So, being stuck, I took the apartment in Clinton Court.
Tiny apartment, no room for real furniture, heard clearly the neighbors next door while I was in the bathroom (how's that for privacy - so much for the "thick walls"), I had to leave the bathroom door open to brush my teeth, since, when closed, my elbow would hit the door. The outside hallway floor shook while walking on it, no garbage chute - had to throw garbage in receptacle in the back of the building, heard neighbor upstairs walking, even though she must have weighed 50 pounds soaking wet, and the floor was carpeted. When I moved in, elevator was broken, so had to carry belongings up several flights of stairs. Apartment building looked nice,… See More>

                              nice place

I've been here a year and really enjoyed Clinton Court Apts. The location is fantastic - just blocks away from Market East Station to the north and South Street to the south. Both a Superfresh and a Whole Foods grocery store are just 3 blocks away. It's also on a quiet stretch of Clinton St. (Delancey everywhere else in Philly), so the neighborhood is calm and peaceful.
The apartment itself is cozy but well-maintained and I've always felt very safe. Security cameras on each floor and a two-door keyed building entry kept me feeling comfortable as a single female. I never had a problem with noise; thick walls or quiet neighbors, I guess I don't know which.
Amenities include a locked bike room, a small courtyard with patio furniture and flowering plants, and a nice plant-filled lobby.
Parking is optional. The lot is adjacent to the building and both secure and well-lit. Spots are shared between two tenants and $150/mo. I think.
