Resident 2010 - 2015

6/21/2015

Overall delaire has been a decent place to call home. However there are a lot of rules in place which makes it hard to enjoy life here. The property is nice and there's a lot of grass where you could possibly play sports in but there is a rule against that. Instead you have to play on a tiny playground. Our biggest grievances are with the pool. They basically deny your right to have any fun. You can't jump in, you can't play with toys, you can't listen to the radio, you can't eat outside, you can't listen to your own radio without headphones, you can't have adult beverages, you can't have any floats and basically can't have any fun. Every year the rules get worse and worse and people are now at the point where you would rather sit inside then come to the pool. The pool chairs are ancient and instead of upgrading them they pave the parking lots every year and do a bad job at that. Many older folks live here. If they want younger couples to start moving In things need to change. Dogs are not allowed and they should be. Also every week the gate to enter the complex is broken. Instead of charging $9 for little kids to get into the pool (ages 3 and up) they should focus there attention on fixing the broken gates and replacing the lousy pool chairs. If I could move to Salem harbor next door I would.
