Kings Manor Apartments
Resident · 2009 - 2014
hi rented here since 2009. it was so last minute but i have not regretted it. Alan is the landlord. Nice but distant. gorgeous hardwood floors, stove, fridge, and they put racks up for first floor tenants for safety. Stuff is fixed after a notice or a few reminders. Sewer sometimes is the issue not the place itself. I got my place in half a day, and even as it wasnt cleaned out it still was a small pot of gold to me. i chose to move in as is -it was an emergency. the walkways are pretty and people mind their business 90 percent of the time. Be careful 2 blocks down walking at night. the K bus runs and trains. Bus all night. the grocer store is a walking distance away and its as good as your gonna get a lower value than a 7-11 but still its there if you need a good hoagie. Cars need to be locked down and checked at times. The immediate area police are here a few times a month mostly domestic issues nothing more and resolved in 3-5 minutes. Pay your rent, get a cat, have a friend or 2 over and your good. i would recommend this place and have to several of my friends. Cozy, affordable, and if you need a place for you and your mate, or for college and your on a very tight budget. its a yes. Make sure your in good standing with PECO, and dont use the baseboard heaters get your own stand alone heater, laundry room in some buildings.. old Germantown buildings are not known for their heat efficiency so make it heat efficient. Till then, its good for your first place or if your downsizing. A few parks here and there, great food a few miles downhill is Manayunk and RT 1 and a pretty place to sit out and have a coffee in the alcove before the night is over. i rate this a A-. --- Building A tenant.
