Resident 2017 - 2018

4/12/2018

On day one moving in I had constant problems with both the apartment and the building manager. The bathroom counter had a burn hole on it from maintenance and it took dozens of emails before the building manager said she would send maintenance and it then still took another two months for them to fix the burn hole. My screen door was broken when I moved in and it still has not been repaired after about 8 months of asking for it to be repaired. It also stated in my lease that I would be able to purchase a garage for an additional $50 a month, when I attempted to do this the building manager said she just decided to raise the amount to $100 a month and refused to honor the written price listed in my lease agreement. Lastly and most frustrating, when I informed the building manager I would be moving out she informed me that it was "illegal" to move on a Saturday because she would have to ask a maintenance person to unlock the basement loading doors. I had to pay maintenance myself just to be able to move out when I needed to. Additionally, she attempted to charge me $200 for every large piece of furniture that I was moving out of the apartment. This was escalated to the point where we had to tell her lawyers were going to be called in to explain that you cannot charge some one extra money for moving out of a apartment, especially if it is not in the lease agreement. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!
