Phenomenal experience with Meyers Management.

Meyers Management Company is phenomenal to rent from. I rented from them for 6 years before relocating out of state due to work and I moved back to PA a few years ago and I am renting from Meyers Management again and I have had nothing but a wonderful experience at both locations. Their staff is very accommodating. They have a user-friendly application process and a convenient online payment system. My tenant portal allows me to manage my account and communications with them which is super helpful. The locations are convenient to bus routes and the apartments are really nice and well-maintained. A lot of them have been updated with new cabinetry and appliances which is nice. Any time I have had a maintenance issue, they have always been prompt in responding. Everyone in my building is really nice and I haven't heard anyone here complain. Would highly recommend.

    Slum lords and ripp offs the while pandemic

    Keep all receipts Tersa lies and dont keep the book correct steal funds from government any help given over pandemic and personal funds as well it can be proven as facts they dont want out with all documents to support this claim as truth

      Heat is too high. We're moving out

      We are moving out of our Buchanan PL apartment even if we have to break our lease. The heat is excessively high and is not turned down to minimum during many weeks of warm temperatures. This is the first year that there has been a problem with the heat. My husband and I spoke with tenants in other nearby buildings and tenants told us they have the same problem this year. We have evidence of the excessive heat so we will break the lease if we have to. A girl in the office did give us a discount on our security deposit a few years ago so that was one nice thing they did.

        Good apartments for students. Helpful in finding decent living close to universities. Leases are easy to understand. Maintenance came when required, sometimes they did not communicate but mostly they did through the app. I would rent with Meyers again.

          Opinion: Long-term tenant in Mt. Lebanon. Great location. Terrible management. Don't believe their website. They have zero interest in establishing a "long-term" relationship with tenants. They want long-term tenants out. At the height of the pandemic, Meyers: instituted new fees, changed leases to prohibit pet ownership (or face a $350 fine), despite the fact that they gave permission for the animals to be adopted (I guess they wanted the animals just abandoned to a shelter?), and refused to make any repairs that weren't emergencies. Although, they had no problem whatsoever with DOZENS of unmasked contractors working in the building from October 2020 to January 2021. I made verbal and written complaints, management acknowledged the issue, but did nothing. The workers are on camera (both mine and the landlord's) unmasked. I got Covid despite not working outside of home (they were renovating the apartment next door to me). They changed the locks on my storage unit, disposed of my belongings, and then asked me to write a letter stating the belongings were stolen so that a claim could be filed with Erie Insurance.             My husband and I are moving out. We've had enough. We are forced to breathe in toxic fumes in the laundry room from the degreasing agent in the cleaning solution used to mop the floors with no ventilation. We spoke with 4 other tenants who are also frustrated about it. It's an easy problem to solve but management and maintenance staff are clearly not inclined to help us. . We won't be writing them checks anymore very soon, thankfully. Stay away from South Hills Meyers

              Im a prospective tenant. I spoke with many tenants in 3 buildings in the Mt. Lebanon area including the building I am interested in. It seems to be unanimous that the office staff and maintenance don't engage or return phone calls. Two tenants are concerned that Meyers is using "Covid 19" as a privilege to avoid tenants. They said the lease terms are unreasonable. Therefore I think it would be useful to share this with other prospective tenants before they dole out the cash

                Neighbors are loud and louder. Some of them act like they are entitled because they have heathen children and you just need to put up with all the noise and damage. Management doesn’t care as long as they get $$$. My mom lives under the most ignorant and entitled -------s. Complaints ignored by office. It’s impossible to have gatherings at moms because of all the screaming and banging .

                  I had high hopes coming into here, but unfortunately it's difficult to say anything positive from my experience. I'll be concise with my review 1. Heating is turned on at irregular times and at uncomfortably high temperatures. Some nights have been freezing and we have been getting sick, which is made worse since we're in the middle of the COVID crisis. 2. There have been multiple reported sightings of mice in our apartment, even a video. 3. Worst part is ignorance. We've tried to report the above 2 points using the following. Emails have simply been ignored. Calls lead to just a rude answering person that "notifies" them but nothing ever happens, acting as if it's their job to deal with lowly tenants or something. Maintenance requests on their website are also ignored. 4. Not a big deal, but asked us to drive over to pick up a garage opener, but gave us the wrong one. If this happened to us, I recommend finding somewhere else. The rent is cheaper in other places and I'm sure the living conditions are better.

                    i've lived in the same apartment for over a year now & from the beginning i've had nothing but trouble from this management company. From the customer service to the maintenance of this "property management" everything about them is the worst. They like to advertise that they're "under new management" but even with that they're horrible about getting back to you about any matter. The dryers never work, the washers backup & leak water all over the floor & on top of that they charge you a ridiculous amount of money to even do laundry. The heat never gets put on unless you call & tell them about it being 40dgs.. The "maintenance" group that works for them are super creepy & unprofessional, they smoke cigarettes in the apartment units while working.. even if it's a nonsmoking building. Anytime you have a problem with anything it's just pure torture to call & have it settled. I could seriously go on for days.

                      Horrible, horrible place to live. It is getting worse each year. The maintenance and staff are not doing anything to resolve the problems. We have a leak that is not being fixed for 2 years now. When tenants leave they only change the carpet everything else is not cleaned. There is mold everywhere in the kitchens and bathrooms. The back stairs are never cleaned even when other tenants shoot garbage bags down the stairs. Not to mention a pedophile who keeps taking pictures of the kids and spying through the windows. Nobody cares about the tenants they only care about the rent money.

                        I just moved out of their Phillips Ave location, I had to move for a job. Was a great location while going to CMU, was close to the bus line and the shuttle dropped me off at Phillips and Wightman. If you are an incoming student ask the campus for an "off campus housing list" Meyers is on it. Ladies at the office were great and maintenance was friendly the one time I needed a light bulb changed. Overall 5 star.

                          Meyers has always taken care of us, I don't understand the majority of the bad reviews here. I know they evicted a ton of people who were not paying rent, and good riddance. The locations in the south hills are close to the bus lines and there's plenty of parking. Glad they are cleaning the place up.

                            The new South HIlls Manager "------" has replaced the negligent, and nearly criminal, manager --------------. However, it is clear that she and her father were happy with the useless -------------- and the only reason she is in the office is to collect rent for her, her father and the investors and to increase rents and exploit tenants at every opportunity . Meyers Mgt. accommodated a tenant who was the recipient of several complaints concerning their marijuana smoking by placing her in a nicer apartment! There is another Meyers employee named ---------- who is very polite and pleasant but he doesn't seem to want to return phone calls. I tried to be patient during the transition but it seems he is not inclined to call tenants back. I didn't know who the proper manager was at the time I left. The magistrate's office said that Meyers "does not have a manger". Meyers lied to us about "cleaning up" the building of unwanted tenants who are violent and making others lives very difficult.                               I am a long-time tenant at one of Meyers' buildings in Mt. Lebanon. The Mt. Lebanon police are here at least twice weekly. Tenants are selling drugs out of the garages (the drug-dealing tenants get garages right away, but tenants who have been here for years go on a waitlist) and right in front of the building. Meyers is aware and does nothing. If there is a troublesome tenant in one of their other Mt. Lebanon buildings, the property manager moves that person into our building. The Mt. Lebanon police have described our property manager as "completely useless" and "unhelpful." There was a prostitution ring in one of their Mt. Lebanon properties and now one of the prostitutes lives in our building, still working her profession. Despite a "no dogs" policy, there are pit bulls running around the stairs off-leash. The property manager has ruined this building, which has been my home for years. He caters to certain tenants, the crackheads and the tenant who is a relative of a Meyers' employee. The tenants list reads like a "who's who" of the Mt. Lebanon police blotter. DO NOT RENT FROM MEYERS MANAGEMENT, especially in Mt. Lebanon.

                                The "decent dude" --------------, referred to on another review, is a boot licker. He and other former workers take orders from -------------- not to fix things for certain tenants. I have a leak in my ceiling and the "decent dude" always politely lies to us. He's a prick who thinks he has clinched the mysteries of life by growing that ---------------- which represents the unemployment crisis we are in. At least the other workers were human enough to quit and refused to participate in ---------------- machinations.

                                  I lived in Amberson Gardens (1 Bayard Rd) for a few years, and dealt with Meyers Management at their 5 Bayard Rd office. Management wants to extract as much money from you as possible, and help you out as little as possible. They are extra nice when showing you apartments, but don't expect that kind of concession as a tenant. The lease is extremely strict, and it is almost impossible to break the lease. Depending on who you talk to you will hear different things, so beware if they promise anything. I have been having a very difficult time trying to sublet my apartment: they show my apartment to tenants who want to move in much later and expect me to pay the difference. No matter how much I try, they refuse to tell prospective tenants when the apartment will actually be available (i.e. months before the end of the lease), leaving me in a stressful position: I must find a tenant before they do or I have to pay months of extra rent!                                     Absolute WORST company to rent from. The property manager for the South Hills area is -------------- and he is the most incompetent human being I ever met. He doesn't screen any tenants he moves into the properties. ----------- does not acknowledge any complaints made about other tenants. We had neighbors who were junkies crackhead drunks who were harassing and threatening to kill us for months. Cops were constantly called and nothing was ever done. We feared for our safety the entire 9 months they lived there. They were only evicted because they never paid rent the entire time they lived there, yet ------------- was extremely quick to threaten us with eviction when I lost my job when I was 9 months pregnant. All maintenance that needed done was done by my husband, although the maintenance man is a decent dude.

                                      The staff are rude, they claim anything that you do not keep the receipt as their own property. I will definitely not recommend it to anybody. Every time when I think of this thing, I can still become quite angry.

                                        I lived in Wisteria apartments in Mt Lebanon with my fiance. Gross! The building had a fruit fly infestation emanating from the laundry room during the year we were there. They were even bothering our cat. Manager, never did anything about it as of the time we left in July 2015. He looks like he's on drugs or an alcoholic. He has no social skills but don't let that fool you. he's a sneak! The floors in the public areas are disgusting. Debris everywhere outside and sometimes inside. Rats too! (outside). Apartments are often vacant because manager won't take care of the most basic maintenance in common areas and sometimes inside apartments. We didn't even have heat in the entrance way (near front door of building)for 1.5 winters and tenants were leaving signs up about it but the manager was ripping them down. Even the people who cut the grass are weird. They come in pouring rain and storm clouds when the lawn is saturated and cut the grass in March! Nothing is ever cleaned up outside either.                                           My boyfriend and I have been subletting an apartment through Meyers since January. The building isn't perfect, but it's not bad. Maintenance issues are usually taken care of within a day and there is good correspondence between the office and maintenance staff. The people working in the office are friendly and kind. The laundry in the building is a bit expensive and they could probably add a few more machines in. They've had to show our apartment a few times to people looking to rent it after our lease ends, but it's not a big deal.

                                            I dont know where those good reviews come from. Lots of stuff were broken when moved in, they charged us clean fee auto, but it wasn't clean at all. The company ask us to use a website to request maintenance, but never have ppl come to fix, a post just completed by itself after 2 months. other posts only show you "in process" after a month, then keep this for several months before complete by itself. The manager say post paper on his office door, you have to put more than 20, and talk to him thousand time just to get one tiny things done. A/C were broken in the summer, now its winter already, still... today is 12 degree, the heater never work, i dont know i pay almost 1000 per month for what.

                                              My roommate and I have been living in Meyers apartments for the last 4 years. The office is next to our apartment and they have been very helpful. No complaints except a few minor ones over the past 4 years.

                                                  Renting from this company was great. The people working there were helpful and nice. I've rented from some other companies around town (won't mention names) and can say that I would absolutely recommend Meyers Management over those ones. The maintenance team responded efficiently to my requests and you can do it all from the computer.
