Most of the previous reviews were written when the management was Susanna Kaminsky. She was awesome and made Carriage Hill the place it was. She was one of the reasons we moved there. However, she left by 2017. Since then, there has not been consistent management, which made maintenance issues and other inquiries difficult to fix. We just moved out in March 2019, and we mostly had a good experience; HOWEVER, in December 2018, we noticed a stain in our ceiling caused by a roof leak. This was right before the holidays. Management told us that no one would be able to come out to fix our roof until AFTER new years! That was absolutely ridiculous as people work on christmas eve, and in between christmas and new years. I feel they just did not want to worry about paying someone else to do the job. So, it rained again before our roof was fixed, and guess what?! our ceiling began to drip. The maintenance man put a whole in the dripping part to let the water run out into a bucket. A tarp was then placed over our roof. This leak was in our guest room. We had to move our bed and other furniture to save it from being ruined. When the roofers finally fixed our roof after we had to live with this leak and stain for over two weeks, they only patched the roof and painted over the huge stains in our ceiling. About one month later, we noticed NEW stains in our guest room AND in our hallway. It was absolutely ridiculous that we had to go through this again!!! Management should have replaced our roof and not have just patched it when it was clearly old. They did not even replace our ceiling, so there was probably mold. Management only compensated us $100 credit for our inconvenience due to their inefficiency. We also know of tenants in ANOTHER building that were experiencing leaks in their roof. So moral of the story is- if you move to carriage hill, make sure you figure out when the roof was replaced because it needs replacing !!!! Other than this FIASCO, we had a relatively easy time there for three years.
