First off, I'm a real person, I promise :)
This is my second apartment since College and my first apartment as a college grad with a "real job". Management here is awesome, no funny business. Parking lot is always plowed, sidewalks and the path leading to my front door are always clear and salted. Apartment is very, very affordable.. runs around $750 for a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment itself is a little dated but well maintained. Appliances are a little old but all work well (fridge, oven, dishwasher, furnace, A/C, etc). Central A/C!
Neighbors aren't a problem, it's very quiet. The only issue is that the complex is located along a busy road (Van Reed) and near a very busy intersection (State Hill and Van Reed). Apartments near the front can be a little noisy from the road, but it's something that you quickly get used to. Also, some folks drive their cars a little fast in the front of the complex. The kids that have the big mufflers will make the most noise (oh and that one guy with the pickup truck that's 15 feet off the ground).. that's probably my biggest annoyance. Not a deal breaker by any means, though.
The location is also great. It's basically across the street from a very good Giant grocery store (not a Wegmans, but they come close..) and 5 minutes from a Wal-Mart and the Target at Broadcasting Square. 10 minutes from Wyomissing and West Reading, 10 minutes from PSU Berks and the park complex near the campus (Grings Mill). Maybe 15 minutes from Blue Marsh lake/park. Oh, and about 4 minutes to 222/422.
They recently put in a gym. The machines are all brand new (2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, 2 bikes and a multi-function weight machine). It's never crowded and seldom do I need to use a elliptical because a treadmill is taken.
I'm not from Reading originally, so I'm not completely sold on Berks county yet. But if you do work in the Reading area, you'd be hard pressed to find another apartment complex like Will-o-Hill.
