First and foremost, the office staff here at the Mickley Road location is RUDE. Non-polite and definitely not empathetic what so ever. We had issues with them since day ONE. I have also overheard them speaking to other tenants in such a disrespectful tone that I can not believe they still get business! There is no need for it. Terrible Customer Service! On to the apartment itself; presentable and spacious. I liked the fact that they even painted the kitchen a different color besides boring white. (Ours was Green) The amenities inside were a plus, however you CAN NOT control the heat (It only goes up to 74 degrees), and when you are in the middle of a shower, the water goes COLD! It's like you have a time limit for a shower. For the price we pay, I would expect a little longer timing on the water heater. The dishwasher, sink, and washer are all connected and the piping sucks. It gets backed up with water and it smells of garbage and old mildew. Mold seems to be growing above our bathroom toilet. Very few neighbors are considerate and polite. I have noticed over the (almost) two years we have lived here, that less decent people are moving in. Inner-city families with loud cars, loud mouths and heavy feet. Even when you complain to maintenance and the office about the noise and activity, NOTHING is done. It is probably because this apartment accepts HUD and is guaranteed their money. So to the point, it is an attractive neighborhood, but I would not recommend spending this amount to live hear to deal with or be treated like garbage.

Helfrich Springs Apartments processes all rental applications with the same standards and qualifications which include an income qualification, credit check and criminal reports on all persons over the age of 18 years. We provide a sufficient amount of heat and AC with settings between 72 and 74 degrees. Our maintenance staff responds to all requests regarding maintenance to ensure everything is in good working order. We take issues such as mold very seriously and have an addendum in our lease which instructs residents to immediately report any mold so that we may correct any issues right away. The maintenance staff is available for emergencies at all times and we respond to noise complaints regardless of the time of day or night. Our staff is both professional and courteous to all residents. We take pride in knowing the majority of our new rentals come from referrals, (current resident referrals and personal referrals), as well as former residents returning to again lease in our community.
