I lived here a year and the building / apartment / management are great! There have been complaints about Wilkes Students. However, I have not witnessed any disturbances. Rent does not include electric. Drawbacks include mainly the "bad" neighborhood. Downtown in not great. Safety is an issue. The parking is controlled by a public garage where you rent a space ($25.00/month). The city does not maintain the garage well and the security doors are broken. The city does not care to fix them, even when cars get broken into. Another drawback is the attitudes of the elderly. Some can be quite possessive of their territory and assume that they own instead of rent. Besides these drawbacks, it is clean, often quite, and a great place to live. (NOTE: about other comments that concern the younger tenents-- people who cannot learn to live with people, should not rent; ALSO: management does crack down on disturbances from other tenents provided it is breaking the contract in the leasing agreement).
