How to Enhance the Energy of Your Apartment

Surely you have walked into many places where the “vibes” were comfy and even a bit invigorating. Perhaps you couldn’t put your finger on what it was about the environment that called to you, or maybe you noticed that the room was painted a certain dynamic hue, or that the lights were a soothing pastel pink.

Or maybe the primary occupant of the area was a particularly loving and radiant personality who literally lit up a room when she or he walked into it. This emanation or aura always either stayed behind for a few minutes (you’d started to notice) or else the people who had occasion to speak with this person felt a bit of the effervescence “rub off”, and carried that well-being with them.

Yep, that was enhanced energy.

We’re all energy beings…chemical, electrical, negative-and-positive ion kinda creations. Our thoughts and acts contribute mightily to this milieu.

There is much you can do to enhance your energy field…starting with the currents coursing through your apartment.

It’s true. If you want to glow internally; to endow all you meet with those vital connections and if you’d like to similarly surround yourself with positive vibes in your living quarters, learn how to glow!

How? A few light and lovely suggestions for amping up your glow factor include:

Put a little Feng Shui in your life (The phrase translates into “wind and water”.)

Feng Shui’s an ancient Chinese practice of placing things and art “just so” so that you and the environment are in perfect harmony with nature. It is purported to bring about serenity, prosperity, wise choices…and a tremendous outpouring of good energy! Some folks might call it “Karma”, or the “Yin and the Yang”, the spirit and the soul; the passive and the active.

When we apply this discipline to decorating, we are, in a nutshell, altering the ch’i—the energy– in the environment.

A few examples: in your home, you must allow plenty of air to surround your furniture. Don’t place anything flat against a wall or cover up a window. Let the air circulate freely!

Also, no sharp edges, corners or blocked passageways or doors.

You should do what you can (using common sense and inexpensive “treatments”) to counter noise. For instance, a gentle wind chime or a CD of a mountain stream—see YouTube for plenty of such sounds–would serve as a natural filter.

Keep in mind that animals, plants and, of course, people are energetic beings

It’s a good idea to respect all of our companions AND our tools – organic, material and man-made. The act of doing so frees you up so that you can exchange positive energy with all who cross your path. Too, you will not become unduly upset when one of your “tools” doesn’t function; and

Bring balance into your environment

Science has discovered that photons–bundles of pure energy–in light can communicate with the photons in your body, even from vast distances. These photons are trying to “synch” up with each other. You need light in your life, and in your energy field. Start small, or go whole hog. Some ways to manifest this idea? Eat foods that have been sun-ripened; bring natural beauty products into your home (try coconut oil as a healing skin balm, for instance); get up with the sunrise and spend as much time as you can outside to catch those rays! Stay protected, of course.

All of this high-energy and positive-vibes work will help you and your visitors in more ways than you can conceive of. Healing occurs where ever energy is benign. Why not turn your apartment into a room that’s plugged in with enhanced energy and circulation? You’d be surprised at the positive changes it’ll bring about in your life.
