Hidden costs
I was very disappointed with my experience at Royal Mills. Despite the beautiful rehab of the mill, I found out the hard way that it is very expensive to live there, and given a dispute, the tenant will pay, not the Owner. I moved in because there was a free month's rent promotion - advertised as compensation for the lingering construction issues and to get people moving in to the new units. Well, there were plenty of construction issues, plus the Owner never built the (heavily) advertised pool, and delayed installing nearly every building amenity. When I moved out a couple months early, I had to repay the full month's rent incentive. No compensation at all for construction issues! When it comes down to it, the tenants are all ATMs for the Owner. Pet fees, parking fees, garbage fees, be sure to read every word in the lease and ask lots of questions. They held my security deposit for every single day they were entitled to, just to grab more interest. My complaint letter to the Owner was ignored. The Management company was friendly and did their job; they just enforce the terms of the lease.Share This Review
