I'm currently searching for a place in Columbia SC, and I plan on viewing a lot of places. So far I've been driving through different apartments, watching the landscape, building structure, speaking to residents etc. When I finally got to Sage Pointe it was dark, and the gate was close (residents were going in, via a key card -so I did a u-turn....so when they say gated...its gated
The next day I went back and man, oh, man what a beautiful place. I viewed two apts - with a patio and without. The master bedroom is okay in size, closet was huge, nice kitchen, nice bathrooms, living space was good . The area seemed quiet, and I spoke to two residents who reiterated the same thing. (He also said no roaches)
The lady at the office (I guess she was the manager) told me that the complex is only 2 years old....I LOVE that. I visited Fairways after I left SP - and that place is 17 years old, and I felt rushed during the viewing. At SP she handed me the key. (I'm not saying that everyone will get that same result, but I liked it, I could take my time).
Like I said above, I'll be viewing a lot of places.....but I'll be comparing them all to SP.
